Allow Grasshopper to be the default Calling and Messaging app in iOS and macOS
Please update the Grasshopper apps for iOS and macOS to allow them to be set as the default calling and/or messaging app (app used to open tel: and sms: URLs). In iOS, the default calling and messaging apps are configured in Settings > Apps > Default Apps but Grasshopper is not shown as an option. In macOS, the default calling app is configured in FaceTime > Settings⦠> General > Default for calls, but Grasshopper is not shown as an option. There is not yet a location in macOS to set the default messaging app, but you can use third-party apps such as SwiftDefaultApps to configure which app is used to open sms: URLs. Auto SMS response currently works for missed phone calls, where one can set it to respond to every missed call every time, or just the first time a call is missed by a number. This is fine. I would like to see this feature expanded to include an auto SMS response when we receive incoming SMS texts for the first time or every time (configurable like the phone calls), so that we can be out of office and let our customers know we are out of office and not checking texts until business hours resume.54Views1like1Comment
