Simplified presenter swap - no need to give someone permission to present every time.
Quick toggle that makes it someone doesn't have to give someone present permission every time. It appears to be a feature that existed at one point in time already: https://www.goto.com/blog/simplified-presenter-swap, so that means it existed for a reason but then also disappeared for a reason. My hunch is that one needs to be able to have the feature but also quickly toggle it while also not having to go deep into settings or another portal/window to change it. Maybe even an auto detect based on the person and number of people in the meeting...in any case, it feels like it's important when it's needed and another detail/friction when one doesn't. Maybe some quick conditional rules that one can adjust: • 1 person in meeting - allow for sharing without need to pass permission • 2 (or minimal can be adjusted)...need permission to share. • 3 Can exclude certain people from needing permission to share Valued outcome: Reduct time on task/friction point; a valued feature that your competitor Zoom already has Thank you7Views0likes0CommentsIs the Rectangle feature still available?
I can't see the Labs option any longer, despite using ctrl+shift+L to add the option back. Is there another way to get access to the Rectangle feature, or is there another way to share virtual zones/displays as if they were a separate physical display? I need to share multiple applications, but have an ultrawide monitor, so sharing the entire screen isn't going to work. I would love to either share the virtual zones I created with Microsoft's PowerToys FancyZones or else have some other way to share just a portion of my screen and ALL applications that are on that portion.2.4KViews0likes10CommentsAllow the Organizer to edit Attendees names during the meeting
Hello, I am currently utilizing Go To desktop App with the following version(s): Windows states version 4.15.0, whereas the client about section states version 0.156.0. When hosting meetings, there are instances where participants fail to name themselves properly, or provide invalid display names. When I view the People pane, I can see the three dots options per person in the call. When I select the options for my own name, I see an option to "Edit name & email". However, there is no equivalent option to rename any other participant in the call. I am needing to ability as the host of the call to edit the names of each participant so as to not have to stall a call to draw attention to persons to adjust their own names.69Views0likes4CommentsApplication Screen Sharing Limitations in New GoToMeeting Version
Hi GoToMeeting Team, I'm writing to express some frustration with the current version of the application. As a host, I frequently need to share a specific application window during meetings. However, unlike the previous version, the current setup does not allow associated pop-up or option windows from that application to be visible to attendees. This limitation seriously impacts my ability to present effectively. The workaround provided by support—to share my entire screen—is not a viable solution. Doing so would violate my company’s privacy policy, as it may inadvertently display and record confidential information. Being able to have multiple windows from the same application visible while sharing is critical to our workflow. Please consider restoring this functionality or providing an alternative that maintains both usability and compliance with privacy requirements. Thank you for your attention to this matter.56Views0likes3CommentsPlease Improve the timer tool
Dear Team, I'd suggest, that you improve the timer tool. Right now, you can set up a timer from about 0 - 10 minutes. If a set 2 minute timer runs up, you will be able to restart the timer. Though, in case the timer is stopped at 1:30 for example, there is no way to reset the timer directly on 2 minutes other then again set up a completely new 2 minute timer. This is highly appreciated. We faced an unacceptable issue with the GoTo app on the tablet. We cannot normally conduct meetings and demos with our customers. Which makes it impossible to use GoTo app further. If one user (user A) is sharing the screen from the desktop app, the user on the tablet (user B) can see it only on the half of the screen. The other half of the screen is just dark space. It is impossible to see what is being shown. The issue persists on both iOS (023.06.2) and Android (2023.06.1).892Views0likes3CommentsHide Entry and Exit Notifications
I would like the ability to hide the entry and exit notifications for participants just like we can toggle the sound for it on and off. I use GoToMeeting as part of public meeting broadcast and would prefer to not display the notifications. Thanks1.4KViews1like6CommentsHide a specific user's camera view
It would be wonderful to be able to hide or minimize individual users' video feeds when looking at Active Cameras. Attendees' backgrounds or actions can be very distracting, so being able to toggle the visibility of their video feeds (hide/unhide) would make for a much more enjoyable conferencing experience.312Views0likes1CommentSending files / file sharing during the broadcast
Frequently, during the meeting we would like to share files to respective team member. It would be nice if Gotomeeting has this feature. Our current workaround is to make someone presenter just to show one file and take control back but it is not the right way,44KViews2likes81Commentstool bar size (minimize)
Are there plans to allow the presenter to shrink the tool bar to an icon or hide it? We use a graphics based software with many tool icons for meetings. These are obscured by the oversized GoToMeeting tool bar. I am constantly having to move it around out the way. If it could be minimized and reinstated with a shortcut, it would be much easier to use.1KViews0likes2Comments
