32 Topics- Local Backup Recording Option for OrganisersIdea: Introduce a feature that allows webinar organisers to save a local backup recording of their sessions on their computer, in addition to the standard cloud recording. This local recording should include all webinar content, including webcam feeds, screen sharing, and audio. Reasoning: During the server outages on October 6th and 8th, I experienced a loss of a cloud recording that was critical to my work. This caused significant disruption and data loss. A local backup option would serve as a fail-safe, ensuring that organisers always have access to a recording, even in the event of cloud service interruptions or technical failures. Benefits: Increased reliability and peace of mind for organisers. Protection against data loss due to server issues. Faster access to recordings without waiting for cloud processing.13Views0likes0Comments
- Ability to turn off presenter name plate and black boxes that appear in recordingsHello, I've been using GoTo Webinar for five years and on my recent webinar the black "name" boxes that appear in the camera window during the webinar have never been included in the recording. In our last webinar that were visible in the recording which ultimately results in a very poor user experience for our on-demand viewership because in this particular instance they covered a majority of the webinar demonstration. Is there a way to disable these from appearing in the recordings going forward? We are currently using the classic version of GoTo.72Views2likes5Comments
- Allow us to re-render a webinar session videoIn the post-webinar video rendering of a session we hosted recently, the speaker's audio and video match up fairly well, but the slide transitions lag behind anywhere from 8 seconds to 24 seconds. Meaning the presenter has asked to move to the next slide and 8 - 24 seconds later, the slide actually switches on the video. Support let me know there is no way they can re-render our webinar to see if the slide transition is more accurate, so I am adding it here as a suggestion.21Views0likes1Comment
- Edit Video Titles in LibrabryThe Edit Video and Video Details options for the videos do not allow for editing the title. In some cases, we want to change that title after a file is uploaded. As it stands, we have to download and upload it again with the new filename so the title is correct. We have to wait for transcoding all over again. It is inefficient and takes up storage space as well.
- Have analytics show all recorded webinar/GoToStage events (even if event is over 2 yrs old)We have some excellent events recorded over 2 years ago. They still produce registrations on our newly activated GoToStage, but it is a challenge to get any analytics on them as they are over the analytics recording period. Is there a way to change the analytics request to show 'registrations in the past 2 years' instead of 'events in the past 2 years'? The registration could be from yesterday, but it is not easily accessible and information is very limited if the event/ recording occurred over 2 years ago.33Views0likes1Comment
- CC Closed Captions on Cloud RecordingsWe record webinars to the cloud. Our video library shows the recordings listed with a CC icon. If you hover on the icon it says "Closed Captions available." But when the recording is viewed online through the access link, it only shows the time-coded transcript below the player. Is there a way to see true closed captions on the video that display in sync with the playback?34Views0likes2Comments
- Option to change Thumbnail when sharing a webinar recordingCurrently there is no option to create/change the static thumbnail of a webinar recording. In a recent recording that we shared with our audience, post webinar, the thumbnail displayed one of our presenters with their eyes closed, and we had no way of changing this. The year is 2024. The technology/option to change a thumbnail on a hosted video has been around for the last 10, if not 15, years. Thank you.54Views0likes2Comments
- Ability to edit Web Title and description after webinar endedWith the previous GTW version we had the option to modify the description of a webinar after its end, which would allow us to add a sentence such as “Register to watch the replay”. With the new version, it does not seem possible anymore.31Views0likes3Comments
