CC Closed Captions on Cloud Recordings
We record webinars to the cloud. Our video library shows the recordings listed with a CC icon. If you hover on the icon it says "Closed Captions available." But when the recording is viewed online through the access link, it only shows the time-coded transcript below the player. Is there a way to see true closed captions on the video that display in sync with the playback?Allow multiple organizers to record locally at the same time
Hi, With the new app, it is not possible for two organizers to record. I understand the options, with cloud recording. My partner and I want the option back where both of us were able to record sessions so if one had an internet issue, we could rest assured that the other had a good recording. Please put back this option. I am not sure why it was taken away, but this is a huge deal to us and may require us to go to another provider after years of using GoToMeeting. Thanks.54Views0likes1CommentPlease enable auto record features
Provide a parameter like we can create a meeting that can be auto record when ever we(organizer) start a meeting this is so important that in a hurry we will forgot record from the beginning of meeting I have integrated Goto Meeting in my web application if provide such feature like above mentioned it will be very useful .252Views0likes1CommentBulk download all recordings
I think if GoTo doesn't want to add this feature, they should offer it as a support request. I should be able to contact support and ask for a downloadable archive or a list of direct download links to the videos for a given account. The need for archiving these kinds of things is not that unusual and it shouldn't be such a chore.734Views0likes7CommentsRequest to introduce presenter-only recording feature
Hi, Long-time GoToMeeting user here. I'd like to propose an enhancement to enable recording only the presenter’s webcam and screen. This functionality would provide hosts with precise control over the meeting recordings, ensuring that only relevant content is captured, which is essential for creating clean, focused, and professional meeting records. By capturing only relevant material, recordings become more effective as educational tools and for professional reference, adhering to the best practices in content retention and user privacy. The current "Who's Talking" feature in GoToMeeting, although useful, does not provide sufficient control for recording sessions effectively. This feature automatically switches the focus to whoever is speaking at the moment. While this might seem advantageous for capturing active participation, it often results in recordings that are fragmented and include unnecessary interruptions or background noise from other participants. This can detract from the main presentation, making the recordings less useful for later review or distribution, especially in a professional or educational context where clarity and focus are valued. Implementing a feature to record only the presenter’s webcam and screen would ensure the recordings remain streamlined and directly relevant to the subject matter discussed, without the disruptions caused by the shifting focus of the "Who's Talking" setting. Implementing this feature would not only meet the evolving needs of your diverse user base but also strengthen GoToMeeting's position as a leader in communication solutions. Thanks for your consideration. Rob340Views0likes1CommentRecord presenter webcams and presentation separately
Could you all develop a way for presenter webcam video feeds to be recorded separately from the shared presentation? We recently had a webinar we would love to clip and use on social media. But we only want to show the presenters in those video clips, not the presentation that was being shared on the screen. We would like to have the following video replays to pull from: Webcam feed of the presenter(s). Separate feed for each presenter Video replay as it is now (presenters and presentation)788Views1like5CommentsEdit video transcription
The video transcription tool does not understand all the words and makes many mistakes.I wonder if I can correct and edit the transcripts on the site itself (where the text is synchronized with the video) or is this only possible by downloading and editing the text on my computer. ariadnenatal I'm afraid you cannot currently edit the GoTo transcript yourself. I will move this into the 'Ideas' section for later enhancement possibilities.2.3KViews0likes5CommentsNo limit for shared recordings
Gracias. English: I am dedicated to teaching payroll, accounting and pensions courses. Sometimes participants ask me to share the recording with them. Starting this year I decided to record the courses and sell them. 80 students from a technical school acquired one of my courses, for this I asked for their emails to share them with them. When I enter the application, I select the video, I go to share, I select specific users and I capture the email, but the application only allows me to share it to 25 users, which is why I cannot share it to all students. I am promoting the video courses in schools and I am currently in talks with several of them, to finalize the sale of the video courses, I definitely cannot share the recordings due to the limitation that the application has. I think that tomorrow I will be able to sell the video courses to students from other schools, so for a server it would be important for the application to have no limitation on sharing the recordings. I hope you can consider my comment. I await your response. Thank you.359Views0likes1CommentLimit access to recordings of paid webinars
Hi Goto, I am concerned, like many, about the shared links for paid webinars. I have noticed that some companies that also provide webinars (paid as well), one in particular seem to limit that altogether by having a person's email connected to their webinars (paid/free) under their dashboard. Perhaps that's something GoToWebinar will consider to avoid link sharing. This particular platform does the following: For webinars (free/paid) you sign in/up with your email to create an account Then once you attend, scheduled webinars are in the future, and past events you've attended are listed in the past Any events you have signed up for through this particular platform are under your email account. I was able to sign into the account with my email at the same time under the same browser but with a private page. Not sure how this works with signing in through social media either. So I can assume that access can be granted if someone shares their email account credentials for this platform for access. At any rate, I think it's a start to look into alternative ways to protect user content/paid webinars on GoToWebinar other than sharing links. Just a thought.471Views0likes1Comment
