Application Screen Sharing Limitations in New GoToMeeting Version
Hi GoToMeeting Team, I'm writing to express some frustration with the current version of the application. As a host, I frequently need to share a specific application window during meetings. However, unlike the previous version, the current setup does not allow associated pop-up or option windows from that application to be visible to attendees. This limitation seriously impacts my ability to present effectively. The workaround provided by support—to share my entire screen—is not a viable solution. Doing so would violate my company’s privacy policy, as it may inadvertently display and record confidential information. Being able to have multiple windows from the same application visible while sharing is critical to our workflow. Please consider restoring this functionality or providing an alternative that maintains both usability and compliance with privacy requirements. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Have analytics show all recorded webinar/GoToStage events (even if event is over 2 yrs old)
We have some excellent events recorded over 2 years ago. They still produce registrations on our newly activated GoToStage, but it is a challenge to get any analytics on them as they are over the analytics recording period. Is there a way to change the analytics request to show 'registrations in the past 2 years' instead of 'events in the past 2 years'? The registration could be from yesterday, but it is not easily accessible and information is very limited if the event/ recording occurred over 2 years ago.
Optin for the Video Library to Grow My Subscriber List
I have been getting a lot of people watching the videos in my library. They have to fill in their name and email address to get access. Could an opt-in to my subscriber list, like on the webinar registration page, be included so I can grow the list? In the post-webinar video rendering of a session we hosted recently, the speaker's audio and video match up fairly well, but the slide transitions lag behind anywhere from 8 seconds to 24 seconds. Meaning the presenter has asked to move to the next slide and 8 - 24 seconds later, the slide actually switches on the video. Support let me know there is no way they can re-render our webinar to see if the slide transition is more accurate, so I am adding it here as a suggestion.CC Closed Captions on Cloud Recordings
We record webinars to the cloud. Our video library shows the recordings listed with a CC icon. If you hover on the icon it says "Closed Captions available." But when the recording is viewed online through the access link, it only shows the time-coded transcript below the player. Is there a way to see true closed captions on the video that display in sync with the playback?Allow multiple organizers to record locally at the same time
Hi, With the new app, it is not possible for two organizers to record. I understand the options, with cloud recording. My partner and I want the option back where both of us were able to record sessions so if one had an internet issue, we could rest assured that the other had a good recording. Please put back this option. I am not sure why it was taken away, but this is a huge deal to us and may require us to go to another provider after years of using GoToMeeting. Provide a parameter like we can create a meeting that can be auto record when ever we(organizer) start a meeting this is so important that in a hurry we will forgot record from the beginning of meeting I have integrated Goto Meeting in my web application if provide such feature like above mentioned it will be very useful .
Bulk download all recordings
I think if GoTo doesn't want to add this feature, they should offer it as a support request. I should be able to contact support and ask for a downloadable archive or a list of direct download links to the videos for a given account. The need for archiving these kinds of things is not that unusual and it shouldn't be such a chore.
