The users in our company do not have local admin rights. There is also no local admin account on the machines. If domain connected a support person can authenticate against AD and get admin permission via AD group. This is not always a good solution because 40% of our workers are remote (home, hotel, etc.) and I want to eliminate the VPN dependency for support with admin permissions. My question. If connecting to a Windows 7/10 machine, does GoToAssist automatically give you administrator/system access even if the user is not an admin and there is no local admin account on the machine? So you have the ability to install software/drivers, run diagnostics, change system settings, etc.? Thank you.Solveddatkins7 years agoVisitor8.1KViews0likes2CommentsWhat happens if you lose your phone or it is damaged and use Lasspass Authenticator?
Hi, I recently enabled 2FA on the GTA service. In doing that, I have not yet setup backup of the Authenticator through Lastpass. I do backup my phone however using iCloud backup. I was wondering though what would be the recovery process if I lost my phone or it was damaged? Right now as it stands, when I login to GTA portal, I'm required to provide the 2FA code from the phone. If I don't have access to my phone I won't be able to do that and it looks like the only option I have would be to click on the "Forgot Password" link at the portal. If someone knows the process that would be needed to get back into GTA when a phone is lost or damaged and 2FA with Lastpass was active that would be very helpful.Solvedtiredtech7 years agoActive Contributor7.1KViews0likes5CommentsData storage - GDPR
Hey guys, We'd like to know more about your data storage because of GDPR regulation. We've got number of questions ,please see them below: 1 - How long do you keep the data on your store? 2 - Where do you keep the storage? 3 -If a client want to be removed from our database, we'd need to make sure this his/her details will be removed your system too. Can you prove this? Thanks ErginSolvedErgin Erdemir7 years agoActive Contributor4KViews1like8CommentsInstalling Unattended Access Remotely
I have a few computers that seem to lose their unattended access altogether. Then, of course, I have to set it back up again. Most of the time I have someone there to help. But this is intrusive and I'd like to be able to get it done on my own. These computers are on a network and I have a workstation on the network and can use Windows Remote Desktop or UltraVNC to connect to the target computers. Yet, GTA is my preferred tool and is more convenient. So, now and then I use Remote Desktop to start the Unattended Access install for GTA and sometimes it sorta works. But most of the time the "Set up Unattended Access" is grayed out at my GTA console and I can't get the whole job done. How do you do it?SolvedFred Marshall7 years agoContributor13KViews0likes10Comments
