Automatic volume and noise processing - Option to switch off - please make available

Unfortunately the new version of Goto doesn't support to switch off the "Automatic volume and noise processing" as it was possible in the classic version which we could use until some days ago.

This option is needed when you have meetings with choir music, hymns etc. because the automatic processing leads to a very poor transmission of the choir music, hymns. It's impossible to enjoy the hymns... I know that this option is used by many church services to broadcast both the singing and the sermon so that old people can enjoy although the are not able to attend the church service.

So, please make this option available, as it was implemented in the classic V10.

We switched to Zoom which works properly with transferring hymns and choires and orchestra.

We are in a similar situation as described here by Stefan and also need these settings back! Otherwise we will unfortunately not be able to use the new version in this form.

Welcome to the Community. I have heard this feedback recently and will be sharing it with the team.

There was a Community Idea recently posted here on the subject, I encourage you to vote here to add your voice on the need for this feature. Thanks.

  • Hello KateG, Hello Stefan,

I would like to support the request of Stefan. We are in the same situation, using GotoMeeting since several years to broadcast our church service to people listening from home. The transmission of the choir music is very poor and not really acceptable, since the old application was replaced by "GoTo". If the mentioned switch for "automatic noise reduction" could be re- implemented, that could help us a lot.

    Best regards, Peter

Sorry to hear this didn't resolve the issue. At the moment, this is not currently available, but something the team is looking at internally. I hear this doesn't work for your circumstance and will share this feedback with the team.

    Hello KateG,

thank you for your reply. But these settings unfortunately not the solution for this problem of broadcasting singing of choir. We need this solution:

thus: “Automatische Lautstärke und Störgeräuscheverarbeitung verwenden” must be possible to be disabled.

When will this option be introduced in the new Goto-Version?

if it will not be implemented then we must switch to Zoom and we have to cancel our subscription of Goto. ☹️.

    Best regards, Stefan

    Hi stefan_schueler ,

Welcome to the GoTo Community. I've moved your idea to the app discussion board, we have some some of the requests available in app Settings.

    • Automatic mic volume processing can be disabled in settings - Audio - bottom check box.
    • For noise suppression, you may want to enable efficiency mode, which turns off some local noise suppression processing. This is in settings - Session - Turn on Efficiency Mode

Both of these settings will stay applied once enabled.
