Cannot Share an Application

While in a meeting, the admin can share the entire screen but cannot share just one application. This had worked fine until the latest major update at which time, app sharing began to fail. Tech support cannot seem to resolve this. Any hope other than migrating to another provider?

Hi Yehuda_G, welcome to the community.

I have reviewed your support ticket and see that this issue is happening with one specific Windows 10 PC. Were you able to test creating a new user account on this PC to install GoTo Meeting on?

      Hello Glenn,

Yes, I created a new user but was still unable to share an application.

It should be noted that this failure began with your recent major upgrade. It is reasonable to assume that there is a conflict with my specific configuration, but I would assert that your previous versions worked fine here.

      Cheers,

      Yehuda

Thank you. So when you say major upgrade I take it you mean the GoTo App in general, not just the most recent version of it. The GoTo App is not really that new, it has been available for well over year (even longer if you count the open beta period), so it has been running on Windows 10 for some time now.

Since the issue continued even under a new Windows user account I suspect a video driver issue of some kind, especially with a clean new profile that did not have 3rd party applications running yet. I'd like to review the GoTo App log files from this PC, please follow these steps and email them to me at gotoservice at logmein dot com

        • Open the GoTo App
        • Click Help > Troubleshooting > Open Log Folder
        • Copy the goto and goto.old text files and attach them to an email
        • Send the email to  gotoservice at logmein dot com
