Chat feature not helpful

Is anyone else frustrated with the restrictions on the chat feature in GTW? We often want the ability for our attendees to put information in the chat to share and be seen by all the attendees. But there is no way to do this.

Are there any plans to expand the chat functionality to allow attendee use?

Also, as an organizer, I wasn't able to pin a chat from an attendee, only organizer messages. Example: I had a chat with an attendee, they supplied some useful information, but I couldn't pin it for everyone to see.

Any suggestions or workarounds to make it more interactive? I've tried in both standard events and webcasts.

    I will need to know if this is possible ASAP otherwise I will have to find another provider.

    I apologize for any frustration. Our new Open Chat feature is currently in closed beta testing, but I have reached out to the team to see if your account can be added to the test group.

    I was told when I purchased GTW that we'd have full access to this feature, as it's essential to our webinars. They lied it's not available and this has had a seriously negative effect on our events

    Hi jim_ci, welcome to the community.

     

    We plan to add open Chat soon, it is being worked on currently and in a closed beta.

    Has there been any progression with this? Our company is trialling GoTo, but it is essential for our attendees to be able to chat and network in the chat. This seems to be for organiser/presenter use only as a 1:many function.

    Hi cblackelite, 

    Chat availability for all with GTW has been a request and is in development and scheduled tentatively for release the first half of next year. I don't know if pinning attendees' chats will be available at that time.
