Registration Links in invitation opened on IPhone not going to registration page

    Hi SteveRAB ,

     

    Here's where we are with the issue:  

     

    • An issue in an older iOS app version caused the registration page to fail (not open) if the new GoTo app was open. This has been fixed in later versions.
    • You may want to include in your emails that users with the GoTo app installed should be on the latest version of the iOS app- 2024.5.0.
    • If a subscriber is on the latest version -2024.5.0-of the app and the registration link does not open, can you send a screenshot or video like you did previously?
    • To check the version, click on your profile icon on the top left-hand corner, scroll down to About, then app version. 

    Expected behavior when using registration links on the mobile app: 

     

    • If a subscriber opens a link on a mobile device (Android or iOS) with the new GoTo app installed, the registration link will take them to the app.
    • If a subscriber opens  a link on a mobile device (Android or iOS) and does not have the new GoTo app installed, it will take them to the browser.

    I hope this helps resolve the issue. Thanks for your patience and report with this.

SteveRAB Sorry to hear this is still occurring. There were some issues with links yesterday which may have affected this. I tried on my end today, I shared a webinar invite and was able to register on my iPhone. 

 

However, with the link you shared, when I was logged into the GoTo app it took me to the app, when I was logged out, I saw the registration page. I did not get an error message on not having valid credentials. I shared the link you sent with the team for further investigation. 

 

A few questions: 

 

-Can you confirm you are on the latest iOS app version (2024.2.0)

When did this issue start? 
-Approximately how many users reported issues yesterday? Do you know if they were iphone users? 

-Did they all receive the error message? Did anything else unusual happen? 

 

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I look forward to finding a solution.

Hello

 

This is still happening, one of the invitees contacted GoTo directly and GoTo said it was our problem!

 

You keep asking me for information I do not have from invitees, information about my phone setup I have passed on many times. My set up IOS 16.3.1

 

I have answered 20 complaints to date. I have gone to putting this message on our mailout

"Hello
If you are on an iPhone with the app installed?
To overcome the faulty GoTo iPhone app either press and hold on the link in the email to copy then open safari and paste the url in or open the email on lap/desk top.
Regards"

 

There is a problem with the IPone app, full stop!

 

Has it been fixed a simple question?

    SteveRAB I'm really sorry to hear this. 

     

    Our team reviewed and updates were made, I'm no longer able to replicate the experience on my iphone and I'm able to register normally. 

     

    Are customers experiencing this issue on the latest version of the app?

      Yes they are.

       

      GoTo IPhone app version: 2024.2.0

      IOS 16.3.1

        SteveRAB can you update to 2024.3.0 and let me know if it's still happening?
