File Manager not connecting, Remote works fine, Also drag and drop not working

In the past couple weeks these issues have appeared. 

Sometimes when we try to connect via File Manger the app gets stuck after it posts "Connect Successful, Handoff Connection Active". Oddly Remote Control works fine to connect. We then have to reboot our Host computer and usually it clears up the problem. But it's been annoying as we've had to reboot the computer a few times a day in some instances. 

We've also noted Remote Control no longer allows us to drag and drop files from it's window to our desktop or visa versa. This was very helpful feature, as sometimes we don't want to dig through the File Manager app.

Anyone have similar issues and know how to resolve?

  • Just got off the phone with logmein support. We did try an uninstall, but were hung up on a error. Logmein had to take remote control and manually delete some files to have uninstall function without errors. After reinstall everything seems to be working correctly.

    We did an full uninstall and reinstall on Host. It seems to have helped. Although today we had to restart the host again, after File Manger wouldn't connect. Hopefully the clean reinstall will limit it to only a couple restarts a week.

    Removing and reinstalling which program on which computer - client or host?

    lma  If this is only affecting one Host PC, have you gone through a full re-install of the LMI application, and checked for any system updates along the way?
