It would be nice if there was a way to react to messages using the app emotes, like thumbs up, smile, etc., similarly to other communication apps.
It could be also very helpful in large groups to generate polls and different interactions.

As newer GoTo users, my team and I would love to see this feature added to the GoToConnect platform for direct chats and team chats. Sometimes we post a message that doesn't need a written reply, but rather just a simple thumbs up (or other emoji reaction) to acknowledge the message. Providing the reaction capability would be beneficial for us to acknowledge certain direct chat and team chat posts without cluttering the chats with unnecessary response posts.
Hi KailaF Hi there! Great questions. While votes are certainly helpful in showing community interest, they’re not the sole deciding factor. Our product team considers a variety of aspects when evaluating ideas, like feasibility, alignment with long-term goals, and overall impact.
To help your idea gain traction, you might consider sharing your post in relevant community discussions or inviting your colleagues and peers to review and upvote it if they support it. Additionally, providing clear use cases and real-world examples in your submission can help the team better understand its value.
Hi Kate, thank you for your response! Does there need to be a certain amount of votes on an idea for it to be implemented within the platform? Is there something that my team and I can do to get this idea seen and upvoted by more people?
Hi KailaF This is currently not on the roadmap, but it is available on channels that support it, like Whatsapp in the GoTo app.
Any updates on this idea?? This feature would be incredibly helpful. We have the option to react to chat messages in GoToMeetings. The GoToConnect direct chats and team chats need this capability, too!
