File Transfer Access Denied
Hi LogMeIn Community, I've encountered an issue and would appreciate any insights or suggestions you might have. Issue: I am able to successfully connect to a host computer using the LogMeIn client for remote control and can edit files without any problems. However, when I attempt to use the file transfer functionality with the same credentials, I receive an error message stating, "connection refused. You do not have the rights to access files on this computer." Details: Remote Control Access: Works perfectly. I can control the host and make changes to files. File Transfer Attempt: After connecting to the host, I try to transfer files but get the error mentioned above. Credentials: Same credentials are used for both remote control and file transfer. Environment: Both computers are running the latest version of LogMeIn software. Questions: Are there different firewall settings or ports that need to be configured specifically for the File Manager/File Transfer functionality as opposed to Remote Control? Could there be additional security settings or policies on the host machine that might block file transfers but allow remote control? Any guidance or troubleshooting steps you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!
Antivirus won't download over slow connections
I have 50 computers in Tanzania which I am trying to install LogMeIn Antivirus on. Because of the slow internet connections speeds the AV client keeps failing to install. When you download the deployment msi the AV install is not included which means each desktop has to download it. I need to be able to download the msi inclusive of the AV client so that I can do the full install.
Connection failed error
A computer in the company is giving me an error when I connect remotely, it generates a Host SSL certificate verified error. DigiCert Global G2 TLS TLS RSA SHA256 2020 CA1 Error occurred: error:0A000410:lib(20)::reason(1040) Authenticating... Disconnected. I have already performed the steps of: logmein.exe cert -createca “LogMeIn CA on %computername%” -createsc “%computername%” net stop LogMeIn && net start LogMeIn “C:\Program Files (x86)\LogMeIn\x64\LogMeIn.exe” cert -createca ‘Default CA’ ‘MX’ -createsc and none of them worked for me so I don't know if there is any other solution for this kind of problem.
GoTo and Logmein's Failure to keep up with IT Needs - Microsoft ID Authentication
More and More computers are being setup with Microsoft ID Authentication and Logmein Central has NO METHOD to Authenticate! I have been a LogMein Central Admin for 10 years and have had no problem Logging into remote computer's connected to our Domain or had Local Profiles. If I did it was because I had the wrong username or password. The verbiage in the Authentication portion of a remote connection states: 'Enter the Windows user name and password you use when physically sitting at the remote computer.' Well that's just more and more wrong these days. New computers running Windows 11 and 10 are forcing setups to use a Microsoft ID and making it increasingly hard to setup a local profile. More and more computers are using Windows Hello. Biometrics, or pincodes are the only things users ever use to get into their machines. Both of which Logmein has no method to Authenticate with. This is becoming more and more frustrating as I need to connect to these PC's and GoTo / Logmein Support has no legitimate answer on how to connect! I am surprised there aren't more articles from frustrated Admins like myself. After this post I have to start looking for a GoTo/Logmein Replacement because it doesn't look like they are going to do anything or that they even recognize there is a problem. It's not going to go away it's just going to get worse as Microsoft moves farther away from local profiles.Antivirus - Manage Section Bug
Hi, When accessing the Antivirus - Manage section, if you choose 'Custom View', go into a device, make changes, and then come back to the Manage section, the 'Custom View' is selected, but the view is not active, it defaults back to the 'Default View. Happens in all web browsers. This is a small issue but could definitely be improved and hopefully fixed quite easily. ThanksOutdated and vulnerable OpenSSL v3.0.14.0 in use
Apologies if this has been asked already but I couldn't find anything relevant. Most of our LMI clients use an outdated and vulnerable version of OpenSSL (v3.0.14.0) This is way behind the current version of OpenSSL, what are the plans to update? Also, which is such an old version used anyway? Thanks Rich
