I just received this from the LMI support tech that I have been communicating with regarding the issue of LMI AV not installing on new computers with Windows 11 24H2. It looks like there should be a solution available on November 4. "Thank you for your time on this. After your report we have been escalating similar cases to our developers and they were able to work on a potential fix for Windows builds that are no longer insider builds but are been marked as insider builds still. The release with be made on November 4th and the build will be version 4.1.0.15746, this will allow you to install the LogMeIn Antivirus on Windows version 24H2 and below. I would kindly ask you to try with the update once it has been release, and if you are still having problems after the update, please let me know." Re: Central not detecting anti-virus software, real-time protection, or virus definition on Win 11 ProLMI Support did eventually fix this issue which was on their end. This was their response: "I would like to inform you that an update was made and the issue with the AntiVirus was corrected, could your restart the computer and let me know if is working fine."Re: Central not detecting anti-virus software, real-time protection, or virus definition on Win 11 Pro LMI Support did eventually fix this issue which was on their end. Correctly mark driver updates as optional Currently, on a few older installations and all of my new LogMeIn installations, driver updates that are listed as optional on the local Windows 10/11 computers are showing up as important in LMI Central. This makes them appear on the Dashboard and Updates pages even when there aren't any important outstanding updates. That makes it difficult to track the updates that really do need to be installed. I'm including a screenshot of the Windows Update page on the computer showing the updates as optional and of the LMI Central page showing the updates as important. In older versions of LogMeIn, there was an option to only selected important updates and not recommended ones which caused the drivers to be listed as optional. Therefore all my computers that were set up with LogMeIn before 2022 are still reporting correctly. Could you please bring back that option or else fix LogMeIn Central to not list driver updates as important when Windows lists them as optional? Thank you! Central not detecting anti-virus software, real-time protection, or virus definition on Win 11 Pro We have successfully used LogMeIn Antivirus for a year on many Windows 10 Pro computers; however, I just installed it on several new Windows 11 Pro computers. The program appears to install and the policies seem to apply correctly; however LMI Central is not getting updated information from the computers. The Windows 11 Pro computers show successful installation. Scans are running as scheduled and the firewall turned on (although I have since turned it off for testing). In Central, the anti-virus software column says "Unknown", the real-time protection column says "Disabled", and the virus definition column says "Out-of-date." I have changed the LMI AV policy to turn off the firewall and have also disabled the Windows firewall as requested by LMI support. I enabled logging in LMI Control Panel and uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled LMI AV and sent the debugging logs to LMI support. So far they keep saying it is a firewall issue but don't know what to suggest to fix it. The log says "Error (in recv): An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host" and "Error (in send): An established connection was aborted by are in your host machine." I feel it must be something unique to Windows 11 Pro. Does anyone have any idea what needs to be changed on these computers to get them to report properly to LMI Central? SolvedRe: LogMeIn Client credentials We want to prevent saving credentials of the actual logging into the LogMeIn client software. We want to prevent users from checking the box "I trust this device. Keep me logged in." Or prevent LMI client from saving the information even if they check the box. Our goal is for them to have to enter their ID and password and MFA code every time they open LMI Client. LogMeIn Client credentials We would like the option to NOT allow users to save their LogMeIn credentials in LogMeIn Client. Allowing users to save those credentials on their remote computers lets them bypass the requirement for multi-factor authentication each time the log into their work computer. Or is there another way to remove those credentials daily and force them to log back in with MFA daily? Thank you!
