It's working again... they must have found some issue and fixed it. I contacted support and was asked to do all sorts of things including re-generate self-signed certificates - which worked for one of 500 computers - and then was told I am responsible to regenerate the certificates on all 500 of my hosts... sure. I clearly told them that a) the problem is reported by others on their own forum; b) the problem occurs for me on more than once computer; and c) the problem occurs on more than one browser and in incognito mode. I like the "Command Prompt" (powershell actually) feature of LMI but I often need an elevated Command Prompt for management functions. Is there any way to open an elevated command prompt in a browser window? I have not found a direct way - LMI wants you to pay for the module that includes inventory management which is expensive and WAY overkill for what you & I need. I have done this sometimes: 1) Click on Show All Groups 2) select the entire list of computers, right click, copy 3) open Excel and Paste as Text 4) sort by name 5) delete all the extra stuff.935Views1like0CommentsRe: Chrome logmein app autostart configuration
Yeah, my original post is not valid anymore... they changed something again and I can't get it to stop popping up the prompt anymore. They want you to use the LogMeIn client which is practically useless for me since I don't always use the same computer or even a computer that has logmein on it to access other computers.1.8KViews0likes0CommentsCached Credentials no longer work?
Slower and slower computer connections... then broken screen blanking, broken multi-monitor support and now broken credentials caching? At first I thought it was my PC but now I am not able to used saved credentials on both computers I use on a regular basis - "Login failed. (1327)Enter the Windows user name and password you use when physically sitting at the remote computer." What happened to the icon to switch monitors on the remote computer? Very useful when you are on a laptop connected to a dual screen system. I see I can still switch using the options but that's FAR less convenient. I also see I have two windows opening automatically now - useless if you go into full screen. You can drag-and-drop the shortcut from the logmin interface in the browser to your desktop. Login to LogMeIn on a web browser, click the wrench icon (properties) for the host, click the Desktop Shortcut tab and then drag the shortcut icon to your desktop.1KViews0likes0Comments
