Custom Fields on the dashboard
At any given time my IT team can have up to 20-30 tickets open. Our process is to check our general queue first then deal with our own tickets. While the dashboard keeps displays due dates, status reports and activity ect. , it lacks information such as the customer's name and other custom fields Ive created.
Even in the reports i cant display the customer name, which is a bit odd. Other custom fields like office location and Region are also metrics i would generate reports on, but it seems that this is not possible.

- Randy211 years agoNew MemberAgreed - it somewhat defeats the purpose of a dashboard that doesn't show the information I need to see. Also, it would be nice to be able to sort based on the header and to be able to organize them as I like (the customer name shows up way on the right side so I have to scroll over to see it.) It would be better to have the option to move the customer column to be the nth column.
- rob11111 years agoActive ContributorJust noticed the new columns release which adds a customer column and other options. Very nice but the additional columns don't show when the report is viewed from the dashboard or when a report is emailed.

Also don't see any of the columns when you view the report from the dashboard, only when you got into reports and run it from there. - Bcshay12 years agoActive ContributorTurns out it can be enabled in Labs however you still cannot order by Customer. My last service desk solution from Manageengine.com would allow you to customize the view by adding or removing columns. You could then sort by any column.

- Michael Earl12 years agoNew MemberGlenn, I don't see how to add a custom field to a report. I see that the custom field can be used in criteria but can't see how to display a custom field.

I've checked and this is still on the roadmap, unfortunately priorities got shuffled a little after the initial reply was posted. Custom reports on custom fields is supported now.
