How to trigger Alerts Returned to Normal : True

We currently have our alert package set up where if a computer goes offline, an alert is created and an email is sent to the admins. 

There's a Returned to Normal column on the alerts viewer that is always false, even when the computer comes back online.  Is there any way to trigger this to true so we could filter/rule out false positives?

Note: Some of our environments, the connection isn't always great and the devices may go offline for a while, but eventually come back on. I tried testing this where there's also a trigger for a device coming back online, but all it does is create a new alert and doesn't actually mark the Return to Normal - True.
