GoTo Connect - Chrome Extension
Hi, I'm in the UK and I noticed a message in Google Chrome telling me that the Goto Connect Extension "This extension may soon no longer be supported - Remove or replace it with similar extensions from the Chrome Web Store".
This is the same for all of our users, although a few have had it automatically removed, I can't even find it in the Chrome Store anymore, what has happened? will it be sorted?
I contacted support and they just told me to post in the Ideas section!!
We're thrilled to announce that the GoTo Chrome extension is once again available in the Chrome Web Store! After a pause due to a framework migration enforced by Chrome, the GoTo for Chrome extension has returned!
The Goto for chrome extension is currently available publicly via the Chrome web store, GoTo for Google Chrome.

Hey Glenn, are there plans for the hover-to-click functionality to return to the Google Chrome extension? It doesn't have the same functionality as the old one, sometimes it doesn't detect numbers to create a clickable tel: link. It's also missing a quick SMS option from the old hover. We're a google workspace organization and while I've been redirecting some to use the Edge browser extension (works just like the old chrome one), they've built their entire workflow to be around the chrome extension and the chrome browser. I'd hate to look into other VoIP phone service but we may have to if this doesn't get resolved eventually.

One of my largest and a long time GoTo Connect call center customer is ready to look for another phone service. They have built their work flow around the Chrome browser, GoTo for Chrome and several other Chrome extensions. They cannot just switch to Edge. It's been weeks now and their patience is wearing thin.
Just FYI - their is an exension in EDGE that works, I prefer Chrome myself, but at least it is a work around.
People can use click to dial from the edge browser right now. This is good while they figure Chrome out. It’s working for us.
Good morning!! Our outbound calling productivity has been reduced since my team has had to manually type numbers. I don't understand why this is not a priority to resolve. Ya'll are too big of a company to allow this to go on. We will not be able to continue to use you if we cannot get this resolved. Also please update your IT team when calling is as they can't seem to give a timeline or even advise if it will be resolved.
