Panelist join link forwarding

Hi, We're looking to run a webinar with an external guest that will be forwarded a join link as a Panelist from their agent. If we setup the agent as a panelist using the agents email and then they forwards on the link to the actual presenter/panelist, will the join link still work?

  • yes.

You should set up the panelist with the name of the guest and use the agent's email address.  The agent will get the email and forward the join link to the guest.  When the guest connects to the webinar, they will be seen using the guest's name and the agents email address.  When the guest speaks, the guests name will show as the person talking. If the guest shows their webcam, their name will be on the webcam.

This way the agents name is never seen during the webinar.

This way you never need to have the guest's email address.

Both the guest and agent can use the same join link.  In order to keep from having two people in the webinar with the same name, you need to help the agent change his name from guest to real name once he joins the webinar.

If the agent will be showing the PowerPoint or other screen for the guest, then you might want to name the agent with a similar name as the guest, so it looks like the screen share, webcam, and talking are all identified with the guest's name.  You could call the guest "John Guest" and call the agent "John Guest-" or "John Guest 2"

You need a different name for each, so the Organizer can know which is the guest and which is the agent.
