Spam and Fraud call protection enhancements

We need some call spam and Fraud protections and blocklists.

There should be a way to see known spam call lists.

There are a lot of spoofed numbers that are robocalls and they need to block or have a way to block unconfirmed calls. one way to validate calls is to confirm that a call matches the incoming number that is calling it is does not match do not allow it thru.

And if you can have a filter once shaken/stir in in place and a call is not verified then allow us to either send those types of calls to a block, or if call is not verified than to send it to an auto attendant call tree which would reduce these spam calls and we can report the call as spam from the incoming calls.

angelah I checked with our team and we are are investigating shaken/stir. We don’t plan to block anything short term, but at least show that a call has been verified when applicable.

Are you not using the shaken/stir method to validate where calls come from? could you not block that way? not allowed spoofed numbers? or mark spoofed numbers as suspect and have a slider option to set higher spam levels? like making spoofed numbers be blocked?

GoTo Connect already includes a Suspected SPAM label and incoming numbers are checked against an existing FCC list of numbers reported for SPAM. Unfortunately, if the number has not been reported already and is not on the FCC list there is no way to identify it as SPAM
