Anyone receiving antivirus alerts on latest gotomeeting update?

Our antivirus software, webroot, has flagged numerous machines with the update file C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Temp\LogMeInUpdates\GoToMeeting\13190\G2MCoreInstExtractor_13158_13190.exe with the detected threat W32.HackTool.Gen.  Is anyone else receiving antivirus alerts on latest gotomeeting update?

Re: Anyone receiving antivirus alerts on latest gotomeeting update?

Hi there,

Sorry, we haven't received any recent complaints from Webroot users.

Please see the following document around allowing GoToMeeting through Webroot: https://community.webroot.com/webroot-secureanywhere-antivirus-12/how-to-add-firewall-exceptions-595...

my whole org is seeing this and yes we use webroot. not sure if this is a false postive but gotomeeting is showing installed on today in control panel and none of my users say they have installed it. which includes one of our it people.

does this update install itself on computers that didnt have gotomeeting installed?

@StndMISdept  Sorry if there was any confusion.  GoToMeeting currently has no affiliation with any security software or services.  There's no other way to install GoToMeeting without admin priviledges, and you can remove it if needed like any other application.
