System slows dramatically down during GoTo Meetings
Notebook Dell Latitude 7370 - Model 2016 running under Windows 10 latest Release and updates.
My entire system becomes enormously slow when sharing my screen in a GoTo Meeting.
All aspects slow down (reaction time to clicks, mouse clicks, typing on keyboard etc.).
It feels from a user perspective as my system ressources are completely stretched.
Thanks for helping me. Any idea of the reason? No other resource issue with my system, only when being active in the GoTo meeting.

Hi Jürg,
Sorry for that.
What can sometimes happen after an update, is that the hardware may also need some new driver information. I would go here to confirm your product ID, and install any updates before rebooting and testing GoToMeeting broadcast capabilities again: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19?app=drivers

hi aliakhz, this is the GoTo Webinar Classic experience.
We don't have any known issues at this time. I'm afraid the best workaround would be to try a different computer or mobile device. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This is the CPU usage of a recorded webinar. In a live one it gets to 270%.

Hello,
I cannot find this settings page anywhere.
The only setting window I can access is the one in the picture.
I receive the link to the webinar, and I join. The first time I joined a prompt to install GoTo Meeting appeared, which I approved.

Hi aliakhz,
We aren't currently seeing issues with GTM performance. Have you tried Efficiency mode? Also if you are experiencing issues while it happens you can report them, as mentioned here, and get technical input.

I join a webinar with my webcam on GoTo Meetings, and the app uses up all of my CPU. My laptop overheats, my battery drains quickly (whether camera is on or off), and most importantly my camera freezes and I am having a very bad experience.
I am missing most of my webinars due to this. I am unable to participate and I have 11 more days to go.
I need a fix to this problem please.
My camera is the only one that freezes. All of the other participants are fine.
At the beginning I thought it was an internet connection issue, but I checked and it is fine. This happens only with GoTo Meetings.I use a MacBook Air M2, my iOS is MacOs Sequoia version 15
Please support if possible. - aliakhz2 years agoVisitorHello, thanks for replying.

Hi aliakhz, welcome to the Community,
Can you clarify if you are using GoTo Meeting or GoTo Webinar?
If you are using Webinar are you using the Classic or new experience?

Hi Michele8 welcome to the Community and thanks for your feedback. It sounds like you are using the new GoTo app. Have you tried enabling efficiency mode? You can find it in your Settings, on the bottom of the menu.
Additionally, When this happens again, it will help if you could report this issue when it happens, by following the steps outlined here. This will help our developers review issues affecting performance as it captures system information while the issue is happening.

My company has used Go To Meeting since it was created and I can tell you that this all happened when the new GTM app (dark mode) came out - nothing about my pc/internet connection has change, except that my I/O speed has INCREASED from my ISP and I experience the same problems - 10 to 15 minutes into the meeting everything slows down to a chug - worse than the old dial up days. After 30 minutes the meeting is unusable and I have to stop and restart the meeting every 10 minutes after that - like the others said, no issue with Teams, Webex or even the old dog Zoom. It is so bad, my company wants to go elsewhere - please fix - I have always LOVED GTM. Get rid of the dark mode and maybe it will help - I don't mind it, but that seems to be when all the problems started for me......
