I'm having the same issue on a newish M1 mac mini. Tried the options listed above with no success.
Remoting in works for awhile (2 or 3 hours) and then goes into the mode where only the menu bar and backgrounds is visible.
No help for logmein support (and not very surprised).

Can you please confirm the affected operating system and GoToMyPC version installed there?

Im having the same issue. I ve called support 5 times this week. All seem to "fix" the issue temporarily. Then a couple hours later its back to exactly how it was. I can see the desktop, but no icons/dock are visible. Looks like Team viewer figured it out and works great.
