Registration issues, participant gets "Please come back later" message

We've hosted several info sharing sessions within our company these past few weeks. Some of our employees have had trouble registering for the webinar. 

The pagestates "Please come back later. We are having issues with our services at the moment. Please come back later to register for the webinar."

 

The problem is however, that some of these info sessions are almost ad-hoc, so people don't have time to do the registering in advance. Instead, the need is to register and attend straight after that. This has worked well in the past with these same people but not recently. 

 

Are there any known issues causing this? Is there something you recommend trying for us to solve this issue?

Hi Joanna,

There should be no difference between an impromptu 'webinar-now', and a pre-scheduled webinar from the attendee perspective.  Can you ask those affected to please try re-installing the GoToMeeting/GoToWebinar software before joining your next broadcast?

Hi, 

 

thanks for your reply.  I asked one of the affected if they had the software installed and if they could do what you suggested there.

 

However, that person doesn't have an account of his own but instead, that person is joining only as a participant. Therefore, the only installation needed is the GoToWebinar launcher to access the webinar, right? But since the problem is in the registration phase, that person can't even get to the point of trying to join and launch the webinar.

While the GoToWebinar application is only required on mobile devices, it is still the preferred join method where users are able to download ans install the software locally. 

 

Maybe if you ask for a video recording of what the problem attendee is seeing when they attempt to join, then it might shed some more light upon the problem.  We don't have enough information yet to say where the join flow is breaking down there.
