Connection dies and cannot reconnect until service restarts
In the last few weeks connection to my customer cannot be re-established. 1 of 2 things happens. 1. I complete work and end session and then I cannot start another until the customer restarts the service it seems to be stuck. 2. The screen will go black screen after a few minutes of work usually if I have swapped to another application for a few minutes, all options are live, like file transfer etc. but no screen control as it is black. Now end session and it has an endless connecting. Both times the connection allows me to browse their files but not get a full connection to their desktop. again, restart service I can get back on but it is 1 connection per service start?psol_user13 hours agoActive Contributor17Views0likes3CommentsNeed ability to change screen resolution when no monitor is connected
If you are managing a server farm with Goto Assist, you cannot change the screen resolution if no monitor is connected, making it somewhat unusable in that environment. I have used the Unattended solution and I like that it allows me quick access to assist a customer, however it does not require them to authorize me from viewing and taking control of their screen. I would like to see this feature in an upcoming release. Anyone else which they had this feature? I'm trying to install the unattended package on MacOS. I download the unattended PKG file from our console. I install on the Mac. Install seems to go fine, and I give permissions where needed. Console icon in top right shows 'offline' and the computer never shows in our list of 'unattended devices'. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I recently installed the Unattended MSI file on a New Windows 11 Pro v24H2. Though everything seems to work, when I try to open File Browser on the GTA menu bar I receive a message that says: "To access the customer's files, log into or unlock their device." I am logged in. I don't see a solution in the Knowledge Base. Nothing opens on the remote session to allow access to their files. Admin mode is ON. I've never run across this problem before. I wonder if it has something to do with MS Edge Browser on the client side. Before wasting anyone's time, I drove an hour to the site with my laptop and tried it while sitting in front of the client's PC. No pops or prompts to allow GTA access to File Explorer so I can download files. Any ideas? Unable to reset a session that is stuck. End-user stopped the session, restarted PC, restarted the console. Tried reconnecting to the open session, states, "this session is no longer available". This 5.0 is very frustrating as most of the tools are not available, but it is the only G2A tool that works with W11 laptops??? I need to be able to connect to my end-user quickly to resolve the issue and not have to deal with a ton of issues to get connected. Hi! Since a couple of weeks GoToAssist V5 doesn't switch anymore between different languages keyboard. For example: I have an AZERTY keyboard and I work with a lot of computers with QWERTY keyboard, before GTA switched automatically my keyboard to the language keyboard of the remote client, now I need to guess which key of my AZERTY keyboard matches with the QWERTY keyboard. Hi We use Goto assist for PC & Android devices. When connecting to Androids ( all the same Samsung phone type) some phones will connect buy sending them the fastsupport link, but others wont. The ones that wont ask the user to download the app, but they already have the app. I have to ask them to open the app and put in the code. So, when I try to start an attended remote session through various methods (emailed link, copied link, browse to fastsupport.com and enter the session ID, etc.), the yellow border and the Remote Support notification window appears on the farside PC, but the video stream never appears in the Agent Console: Any ideas?
