Has anyone had a chance to register their number for texting?

Has anyone had a chance to register their number for texting? If yes, after how many attempts?

The process looks extremely weird at the GoTo. The same registration at the Project Broadcast took 10 minutes of my time to fill out the form and a day for approval. And it cost $0.00 at the Project Broadcast.
