I came here to post the same thing. This would be very helpful.

How I get around this is I will create a line key and program that line key on anyone who needs to receive those calls as a button on their phone. I then create a dial plan for that number to point to that ext number. Then on the Yealink phone I can set the ring tone for the line to what I want it to be. I can do a GoToMeeting if you would like to see how I do it. Let me know.
Thank you,

Another thing that you can do is to create a directory of the internal user and then you can give the directory entry its own ring sound. I've done that for small offices. It's a little more difficult when it's a large customer.

I started doing that and it was working great...until.. someone changes and now the name is wrong

I ended up doing what Brad suggested but agree it's a bit time consuming to implement/maintain. We don't have too many users that are concerned with having different ring tones so that's what we're going to run with for now. Thanks all!

Bradh - can you show me how you did this? Have an install being held up because I can't figure this out! T46U phones....

The steps are:
Click on "Directory"
Choose "Local Directory"
At this point you can create a group and call it "Internal" if you want to have a group for internal calls or just leave everything in "All Contacts"
Select the group where you want these contacts to go
Click Add
You can then enter the information for each user and the number will be their GoTo line number.
Other information --
If you add a group, then you can change the ringer sound for the entire group. You can also change it for each user if you wish but you can leave it on "auto" and it will follow the ringer sound of the group it's in.
If you don't create a group and put those users in the group then you'll need to make sure that you change the ringer for each user that you add.

All GoTo would have to do is push the extension list to a local directory called "Intercom" and set it to ring2
