While we don't offer a standalone client installer package, we do offer several ways to setup the Unattended software that require your own credentials to finalize, including through www.fastsupport.com/unattended and also your online Remote Support account.
If you're not present, and the client does not have admin rights, you may also try this solution with them.

The link D/L'd the "Opener", but not the "Expert"…
Am I correct that after uninstalling the current copy, when I run the "Opener" it will D/L and new copy of the "Expert" ?
If I sound a bit paranoid it's because I MUST have this program working correctly to do my job.

Installed new version…
Opened a session with a remote client.
Closed session.
Rebooted.
Did NOT have GoToAssist update itself !!!

I've found that after a version upgrade, when I click on the shortcut on my desktop that has always been there, it also does an auto-upgrade...every time I launch it. It's because the shortcut on your desktop is linked to a particular version of the app. In your case, the old version, as the upgrade does not delete the old version, it keeps it.
You have to delete the shortcut on your desktop and replace it with a shortcut to the new version. Then when you launch, it will be the correct version.
I think, sometimes, the installer isn't replacing the desktop shortcut correctly, leaving us with the shortcut to the previous version.
