Security and Backup
How secure is the Service Desk Database - what protection is in place to stop hackers.
How is it protected against server failure ?
Is it backed up ? If so by what software/mechanism?

Our data centers we use go through SSAE16 SOC1 audits. Those reports are only available to customers under NDA.
We're also in the process of updating the GoToAssist Security Whitepaper to include details specific to Service Desk.
Luke - david caranfa13 years agoNew MemberDoes the datacenter that hosts Service Desk undergo annual SSAE16 audits? If so, are the audit reports available for review? Thank you.

Service Desk hosting service provider security standards.
Do you have documentation that outlines the security standards/practices for the datacenters hosting Service Desk? Since this is a recently acquire product, I'm not sure if the security standards and documentation for GoToAssist apply to Service Desk. Thank you. - Luke Grimstrup13 years agoRetired GoTo ContributorHi David,
Service Desk has a number of services that run automated security tests against the system, and also undergo a security review and audit every so often. Our development practices also take security into account.
We have full data replication to our hot-standby backup location in the rare event the service becomes unavailable, and perform full database backups regularly.
Hope this helps answer your question :)
