macOS Sequoia 15.2 - LMI Run at Boot?
I feel like I have to be doing something wrong, but I can't figure it out. We got a new 2024 Mac Mini M4, and I'm working on configuring it to function basically the same as our old/existing 2019 iMac (which runs Ventura 13.7). I got LMI installed on the new Mini, I got all the permissions granted, etc. It works fine - but only after one of the Mac user accounts is logged into locally, and not immediately after system boot. Immediately after system boot, my LMI admin portal still shows the Mac Mini as offline (even though I am physically looking at the machine being online). If I walk over to the Mini and log into any of the Mac user accounts, then the Mini immediately shows as online in my LMI admin portal, and I can remote control as normal. If I then log out of all Mac user accounts (but otherwise leave the Mini powered on), it still shows as online in my LMI admin portal, and I can still access it for remote control. But now if I reboot the Mini, after it finishes booting (and I tried waiting a few minutes), it shows as offline and can't be reached. I wasn't expecting the "switch on" button to do anything at this point, and indeed it doesn't seem to. I tried: double-checking all Security & Privacy permissions, and they all seem to be granted. looking through LMI Control Panel to check for any settings seeming to be about boot behavior. uninstalling and reinstalling the LMI host software. checking for and installing all available software updates. checking for any LMI software updates (nope - host already on 13393) comparing /library/launchdaemons to the older iMac - theyseem to match. using nano to examine the plist, runatload is set to true, as is keepalive. comparing /library/launchagents to the older iMac - the names of the plist files which are present seem to match, although when using nano to view their contents, it seems that they are a different format/structure (totally different content). googling and chatgpt'ing for help. I can't seem to find anyone else experiencing this issue. Can anyone recommend anything I might be doing incorrectly? Or is there any chance that Sequoia 15.2 broke something which needs to be fixed now?39Views0likes1CommentKeystrokes suddenly stop appearing on MacOS to Windows 11
I am using a MacBook Air, OS Ventura13.2.1, w/bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth mouse to connect to aWindows 11 desktop. I have the LogMeIn client downloaded on my Mac and access my host computer through the client installed on my Mac. The keyboard will suddenly stop registering keystrokes. The same issue has happened with three keyboards - two Bluetooth keyboards and the integrated keyboard on my Mac. The problem is most frequent in Word in Office 365. I will begin typing and suddenly the text will stop appearing. Ctrl shortcuts will not produce the actual shortcut, but will type the letter (e.g., ctrl + c will not copy, but will type a lowercase c). I can edit the document using the copy, paste, replace, find, etc. buttons. This sometimes kickstarts my ability to type, but then the text will stop appearing shortly thereafter. When I exit the application and reopen it, the problem still exists. In other applications (specifically Notepad and Outlook), the text will stop appearing and it will appear as if the window is "unselected." Once I "select" the area where I am typing, the text will start to appear again. If I press Ctrl twice, it will trigger the dictation on my Mac.Ctrl + Alt + Delete does not function at all. The on-screen keyboard does not show that any buttons are stuck. My keyboard mapping is set to use client layout, the keyboard and mouse are locked on the host computer, and the keyboard and mouse are set to user priority.1.9KViews0likes8CommentsErratic behaviour when controlling Windows 11 machines
I can't be the only person to have this issue, but I will detail it as though I am... I use LMI for Mac (v 4.1.7905) to control a number of different Windows PCs, and have done since around 2004 when controlling my personal PC from my work computer in the office. Currently, I use LMI to control Windows 10 and Windows 11 machines and the former still works properly and without issue. However, EVERY Windows 11 machine I control has problems displaying the "Start" menu, viewing popups for security control, etc, and just generally being quite awkward to use. Does anyone else have this issue, or not? Thanks Ant1.3KViews0likes5CommentsmacOS Unattended download .PKG file Bundle identifier
I am using an MDM solution that allows me to add macOS PKG application install files to enable the automated roll-out of software to enrolled devices which reduce the admin burden on device setups. The MDM solution requires that the uploaded application file is .PKG file format, and also requires a Bundle identifier/software version to be added to a couple of fields during the setup or it simply won't work. Is it possible to get this information so I can upload the PKG file into the MDM solution and push out the software remotely?2.9KViews0likes9CommentsIs it possible to create a new plan with failed endpoints on a previous task?
I have a task to upgrade software for 400+ endpoints. The task failed on 100+ endpoints. I found myself creating a new plan and selected all endpoints, then deselected the successful 100+ endpoints. This is very tedious. Is it possible to run a new task on the failed endpoints? Preferably, running a new task for the failed endpoints (or offline endpoints) is ideal. Giving an option to rerun failed tasks found in History would be nice, too.531Views1like0CommentsSlow keyboard and mouse click response since OS updates
On 4/19 there was both MacOS update and a Windows 11 OS update. I use a Mac with Logmein clientVersion 4.1.7853 (PlugIn: 1.0.2956) to connect to my Windows 11 machine at work. The MacOS updated to 12.6.5. After both MacOS and Win 11 updates, I am able to connect but there is a lag in response to the keyboard and mouse clicks. We have looked at the network card performance on the Win 11 machine. But I am wondering if maybe something in MacOS 12.6.5 is affecting the keyboard and mouse communication.1.6KViews0likes5CommentsProblem registering to server directory on MAC devices in the domain
MAC I cannot save the Session record of my Mac device in the domain to the public directory with authorization. In Logmein control panel, I write the common directory to the session record directory as follows. smb://server/session_record$ On my WINDOWS devices in the domain, I can register the machine name when I authorize the relevant common directory. However, on mac devices in the domain, even if I write the machine name and authorize the relevant user account, registration to the "related directory" does not occur. When I authorize "everyone" to the authorization in the relevant folder directory, registration can be done. I want to save the screen recording to the relevant directory by authorizing the domain user or computer account on Mac devices. How can I do it?834Views0likes1CommentAdding features that may be helpful
Developers-- in GoTo Webinar, it would be really beneficial to allow Handouts to be sent out in a similar way as polls. In the current ap. a handout is available as soon as a person logs in. If there is a special or anything free to attendees, they will be able to grab iit as soon as they log in. There is no incentive to stay for the entire program. They can come in, grab the free stuff and leave. If you made handouts like polls, they could be release whenever the organizer wanted to. At the very least make it an option of rleasing as soon as attndees arrive, or at the end. OR allow for an attachement (like a pdf) to be added to the followup email to attendees (like the videos) without having to host the file and use a URL in the download for them to do on their own. OR allow for other file formats to be included in Polls. OE allow for files to be attached in Suerveys, since they are sent after the webinar. The other request I would make is to allow for custom certificates. Current model only allows for application generated certificates. I get the individual name attachemnet, but being able to add something with more flair and style would be nice. You should be able to add pdfs to the certiciate thing much the same as you add videos to the library. Hope you can make some of these changes for the next release. Thanks!623Views0likes2CommentsPlaying/Sharing a Youtube Video during meeting
Hi everyone! We are currently using GoToMeeting Business in our environment. We frequently host meetings where the presenter needs to play a video which can be seen by the meeting attendees. The vast majority of these videos are from Youtube, although on occasion the presenter may play a .mp4 video file. The issue we run into here is while the video and audio play normally on the presenter's device, the attendees report poor video and audio quality (the video is choppy and the audio is delayed). Is there a way in G2M for the presenter to play a video without the attendees experiencing poor audio/video quality? I think what we are looking for is an embedded video player but I can't seem to find this option in the G2M desktop app for Mac. Thank you very much for your help!Solved1.5KViews0likes2Comments
