We have more than 300 phones and it would be nice to have the ability to remotely access them without any end user intervention.
GTR already does this for Mac/PC but when can we do this for Android phones / tablets?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi techman2020,
Thanks for using GTRe and sending us your business needs.
Actually, Android remote access (unattended) depends on the phone provider (their OS). You can do unattended access on LG and Samsung (default OS) already today. Other providers do not allow us to do that without end-user action.
But, if you need remote device management (like setting up wifi, passcode, email, installing apps, etc.) then you need an MDM solution which is on the 2023 roadmap.
It would be great to talk about your exact need, I will ping you in DM.
Thanks.

We use Samsung Galaxies but I do not see any options to access these unattended.
How do I get our phones to be set up in an unattended fashion?
Hi @techman2020,
You can setup unattended access on your android devices by installing the GoTo Resolve app via the Google Play link that you can copy from your Webcosnole. If you are using an MDM solution, you can request a dedicated apk for your account. In both cases, a one-click user interaction is required to setup unattended access.
Once the setup is completed, the device can be remotely accessed from your browser without further user interaction.
Does this meet your requirements?
Yes. Can you send me something on how to get this setup?
We use Intune for our MDM. So yes, we would like a dedicated APK. Can this be deployed using the google play store though? IN order for us to deploy apks it is neccessary for the APK to install via play store.
Hi @techman2020,
The GoTo Resolve Android app for the client is available here in the Google Play store. Please note that you will need the Mobile Add-on with your plan in order to support mobile devices.
We do have the add on but how do we get the phones to show up in the portal after installation?
Hi @techman2020,
After adding a mobile device it should appear in your list of standard devices and look something like this:
