How could a 5 point scale return anything higher than 5? I just downloaded a survey report that includes ratings that should not exist.
It appears that this 0-10 scale was suggested by someone in these discussions in 2015.
AshC recognized the suggestion to change to a 1-10 scale in 2018.
The first reported problem in these discussions of the 1-5 vs 1-10 as you have described was in January 2020.
In February 2020 AshC said "I have confirmed that this change was intentional and permanent. "
If that is permanent, then either AshC or GoTo does not see how bad this looks for them.
The following discussion has a picture of how goofy the 1-10 survey looks on a smart phone. The directions say 5 is the best, but allows you to select from 1 to 10. You have to see this to believe it.
Interesting. Really stupid to only allow the organizer to set the question up to ask a 5 point scale question that appears to the survey taker as a 5 point scale but allows a scale of 10 responses. This report was the first one I''ve generated with the 10 point scale and we generate these every week. That's also interesting.
But, what is more frustrating is that we ask for so many important and meaningful enhancements that will make our work with registrants and attendees easier and more meaningful, but the one that is actually implemented is not only implemented poorly, but it is not all that meaningful or helpful. Depressing.
I apologize for the inconsistency there. We are planning some GoToWebinar survey improvements soon, including the rating system.
Ash, this needs an update. "We are planning some improvements soon" with no additional information or changes to the inaccurate and misleading operation of scale questions is not helpful. It has been 20 months since you wrote this and rating questions still show in the survey editor as allowing shorter scale ranges that are discarded and changed to 10-point scales when displayed.
