When I'm logged into my work computer, and am idle for any length of time, the remote computer is going to the windows login screen. This is especially frustrating when I'm comparing hard copies to the data on my screen - this has only happened after installing the latest update today.LyndaF4 years agoNew Member418Views0likes0Comments- Nancyk2344 years agoNew Contributor1.3KViews0likes3Comments
macOS: "LogMeIn Client.app" Remote Control makes Dock / graphics performance glitchy - QUICK FIX!
The following details might not be relevant to the problem / fix of slow and glitchy mac dock / graphical performance, but it shows my experience: Yesterday I was on macOS Catalina. I use LogMeIn Pro all the time to connect to my Windows 7 work computer from my MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) laptop. Last night I launched the LMI client (the "latest" version4.1.7664 (PlugIn: 1.0.2725) ) to do some work, and everything started to seem very glitchy and slow after I initiated Remote Control of my work computer. SUPER ANNOYING! I decided to finally upgrade macOS to Big Sur in hopes of fixing this problem I was experiencing. Upgrading did not fix the problem. I even tried uninstalling the Client both manually (removing all the necessary folders via Terminal) and automatically using AppCleaner, and a mixture of both LOL. Every time I would reboot my laptop and then re-install LogMeIn Client to see if it fixed it, but I kept experiencing the same issues. I finally tried something different that actually seems to work - and I'm not sure why?... It seems that launching the client via the "LogMeIn Client.app" app is what makes everything slow once Remote Control is initiated - it needs to be launched a different way: TO FIX THIS, LAUNCH THE APP THIS WAY: Locate the app in Finder within your Applications folder Right-click (or control-click / two-finger-click) it to show the context menu Select "Show Package Contents" Open the "Contents" folder, then open the "MacOS" folder Open the "LogMeIn Client" file that appears there (it is a Unix Executable, so it will open Terminal and then start LogMeIn Client automatically) Now after I initiate Remote Control to my work computer, everything works wonderfully and glitch-free! I'm not sure at the moment why this works, but I'm fine doing this until there is an official explanation and fix. Note: Closing the Terminal window will kill the LMI Client process and close it out "unexpectedly"1.5KViews1like0Comments- RI-ML4 years agoNew Contributor1.1KViews0likes3Comments

I have a colleague on a mac who is unable to connect to two of the machines in our account. I'm able to connect to those machines, and he is able to connect to others; just not the two he needs to (and has been using previously). The problematic machines are a mac and a PC, and he is able to connect to other macs and PCs. He's tried using my log-in details but that doesn't work either. The most odd thing is that when he clicks on the control icon, nothing visibly happens but in the Window toolbar, the name of the computer he's trying to connect to appears, as if the client is opening the window to connect but not displaying it. He is on the most up-to-date client and we've done a fresh install.James_LG4 years agoNew Member630Views0likes0CommentsDisplay artefacts
I am seeing display artefacts in logmein. This is making it hard to do UI design work. The image below on the left is a zoomed in version of part of my display from the host. On the right is how it looks in the logmein client window. There are (what I assume to be) compression artefacts. I have my logmein resolution settings on 1920x1080 - which is the resolution on both client and host monitors. I have colour quality on HD and I have also unchecked "Use display accelerator" in the host settings. The host has 3 monitors and the client just one. Is there any way to get rid of these artefacts? Thanks.Solvedchris454 years agoActive Contributor1.3KViews0likes1Comment*Transaction Declined* message

Hi there, I've already searched the forum, and the internet, but couldn't find any useful answers. I don't want logmein to start every time I start windows. I tried to disable it under the "startup" tab in task manager. I've also taken a look at the services, and nothing logmein related is there. It is beyond me why you are hiding all of this and making it hard to disable it. It should be a check box like any other software has... Anybody knows how to disable it?CapeOlive4 years agoNew Contributor8.2KViews0likes3CommentsUnable to connect to Macs properly anymore

Problem Multi Monitor on Mac
Since last Thursday (02/18/2021) I can no more use the Multi-Monitor option on my Mac ( MacBook Air 2017 macOS Big Sur). I work from home and If I choose All monitor, I can see both on my screens (from my office) on my screen at home. When I click on Multi-monitor, only one screen is shown, the second one does not show on my additional monitor like it was before. Is there a reason why it is no more working? Remote Printing with Mac Client and Host
Hi I have LogMein Pro with a Mac as my Host, situated in my office and another Mac as a Client at home. I have been using Remote Printing successfully for many months but changed my printer, a Canon Pixma MG7150, recently. The printer works fine on the Client computer but I can not configure it to print from the Host. I have searched but can't find any meaningful instructions on how to set up this function on Mac. Can anybody give me some help or point me to any instructions.davidharland4 years agoVisitor565Views0likes0Comments- Margaret534 years agoNew Member1.2KViews0likes1Comment
How does File Manager delete file so quickly compared to Remote Control
This is a query rather than a problem but would love to know the answer. Recently I had to delete some backup files from a remote external disc and initially did that via remote control using the Windows file manager on the remote machine. The files were quite large at around 500Gb so the windows deletion process took a while. Today I did the same thing again but using the LMI file manager and was amazed to find that the deletions only took a few seconds even for the larger files. Can anyone explain how the LMI file manager can do this so quickly while Windows file manager takes so long?Robolovsky4 years agoActive Contributor554Views0likes0CommentsAnyone Else Having Connection Problems Today? 2/16/21

I run two monitors on my Laptop, when I log into Logme in (using one monitor) I usually have my email or other apps open on the second monitor (local laptop), I also have a surface pro5 tablet, I use as a third monitor. I use synergy to remote control the surface pro with the same keyboard and mouse attached to my laptop) so I can control all three devices witn one mouse and keyboard (1.Remote session through LogMeIn, 2.Local laptop, 3. Local Surface pro5). So I have a setup with 3 monitors. the problem is, with the log me in session maximised on the main monitor, as soon as I click on my local laptop or surface pro, the log me in session minimises, I usually have mutiple suites open to do my job, 3D, and 2D drawings packages, excell and email, pdf etc all need to be open and accessible, and I switch betweeen applications and monitors frequently. HAVING LOG ME IN MINIMISE EVERY TIME YOU SWITCH MONITORS MAKES IT INCREDIBLY INFURIATING TO WORK WITH. I also use indesign and photoshop, they have keyboard shortcut "ctrl+alt+spacebar+left mouse click" for zooming out, and as I work on large projects I zoon in and out frequently, using this keyboard combination LogMeIn automatically minimises every time I zoom out INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING AND . So, if im working with a combination of switching monitors and zooming in and out, the LogMeIn session is automatically minimising every 10-20 seconds which makes it UNUSABLE. Using Log me in really slows me down, can someome please tell me where the setting is or option, to turn off the application from automatically minimising when switging monitors or using keyboard shortcuts for zooming out, why does it do this IT IS INCREDIBLY ANNOYING!AMinson4 years agoNew Contributor2.5KViews0likes5CommentsLogmein Pro on iMac Big Sur
