Device Control Anti Virus
We just started to experience a situation where LogMeIn AV has focused in on a USB printer and is showing some weird behavior. The Event Log shows "Device control - A device has been removed from your system Device Name Boca BIDI...." Right after that we see "Device Control - A new device has been detected on your system. Device name Boca BIDI..." So, this is a direct attached USB Boca printer. It is plug and play. It appears that AV removes it, then Windows adds it back. This series of Event logs is endless. We do have Logmein AV on other workstations with Boca printers and we do not see this behavior. Support told me to make a policy with exceptions for the drivers. I did that. I also checked do not scan USB on that policy and applied it to the workstation. The machine has been rebooted and a day later, the same behavior continues. Anyone else seen this ? I am currently trying to contact support regarding my product renewal and payment, but have not been able to reach them nearly a month after the ticket was issued. Sometimes I find it would find it beneficial to be able to display a column in the detail view of the dashboard showing the computer name. Right now we rely on putting the machine name in the "Computer Description" field, however if this gets missed or entered incorrectlyby someone it can in certain scenarios be difficult to track down the correct system. Hi There, Just recently,LogMeIn AV has started blocking untrusted certificates for Internal websites. Some of our devices (e.g. routers) have HTTPS using their own internal certs. Previously we had to confirm that we wanted to proceed, but now we get the following setting: we could not verify the certificate: reason = untrusted There is no option to accep the risk and continue, now it simply blocked. It is affecting multiple systems and the only way to access them is to suspend RTP (which is very unsecure). Is there any chance of getting a version of logmein client that works in Linux? Either a native program or one that works with wine. When running LMIIgnition.exe with wine it starts up OK but refuses to do anything because it can't detect that I am connected to the internet. It has been like this for a long time, but that step seems like something that should be easy to fix - I know that doesn't mean the rest of the program would work but it would at least move things forward. A native linux client would be nicer. Ignition seems to use ffmpeg for the video stuff so at least we know that is compatible. I recently found out that some time in the last couple of years a web based java version was made available which works with Linux. Hello, We've have had four computers now over the past two weeks where the Kaspersky updater cache folder fills up (\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\UCPStorage) all available free disk space. The first time we noticed this I called LogMeIn support, the person we spoke to wasn't aware of the issue but said to just delete all the files in the folder. This does seem to alleviate the issue but doesn’t solve it. LogMeIn support didn’t seem interested in investing this any further when I spoke to them, I was hoping for some confirmation that it was noted, at least written on a sticky note and stuck on a wall somewhere. I set up a Desktop Preferences Package and deployed it to a test group. No complaints. I rolled it out wider and got a few complaints that the connection seemed slow and that the desktop image was missing. Checked the Preference Package and I had mistakenly set the color depth and background image settings. (these are just easy examples that you can see when you log into the hosts) I changed the settings and rebooted the hosts. No change. I removed the computers from the package and rebooted the hosts. No change. I suppose it just takes some time for this to take effect? We are doing a security audit on our endpoints. I am using the 'Remote Execution' feature to run an encryption status to determine if 'Protection is on' against 1000+ endpoints. When the job completes, I try to use the 'Download All Logs' to parse through the data. Nothing downloads when I click the 'Download All Logs' icon. The icon will be greyed out and there is an animation of an arrow spinning in a circle. I have remained in the same screen for 30min+ to allow the platform to process my request and generate the file. I am still unable to retrieve the all the logs of the status commands. I have tried different browsers and have requested my coworker to try to download the log files himself. Nothing seems to be working. I have several users using Google Chrome as their browser to access LogMeIn Central. When trying to access remote computers they are getting this message: "This site can't provide a secure connection site name###.logmein.com sent an invalid response. Try running Windows Network Diagnostics. ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR". If they switch to using IE it works fine. Anyone know what settings need to be tweaked in Chrome to make this work? Been using LMI for at least 7 years and with the progression of Windows 10, the ability to push updates to all my computers isn't working like it once did. It used to be that once Central showed an update was availabe, I could"Check for updates now" and it would either show the same update or show more, but when you went to apply them, they would run and apply. Now I get "Details not available for "X" updates. Please check again later." This goes on for days and I end up dialing into all my computers and running all the updtes manaually or it says they are applying but when I log into the computer the following day, they are still there and have not applied, this is a colassal waste of time and the reason we have LMI. So what has happened that this isn't working like it used to? And please, don't tell me to call support and open a ticket, ever since LMI and Go to Meeting joined, the support has fallen off, if you ask a question off script you get silence and they NEVER call or email me back. Within groups it is possible to sort by time the computer was “last online” if is it currently offline. I would like to request that another column be created called “online since” so we can sort by how long the computers have been online. The data is already in your database. You can see it by looking at the properties of any computer. It would be helpful for many different reasons. Since the client was updated I cannot remote into other PCs. The LogMeIn Ignition Client version is 1.3.5282 It says my computer is offline but I'm not. Local AV is off Local Firewall is off Flushed DNS Renewed IP Tried on a different LAN (Wireless, hotspots, etc) Verified and resynced system time None of it resolved the issue. Weird part is somehow it is also affecting the web access. I get instant disconnect at the last step. I have an active ticket open with LogMeIn. Pending L2. But it has been sometime. The L1 agent verified connectivity to LogMeIn via ping and traceroute. It is starting to happen to other staff who use this as well. I have an end user who also uses the client to remote control other PCs, she ran into the same issue as me. The end user works from home so she is in a totally different LAN. Not sure what is going on... Hi all, I have an issue on a number of PCs where I set the desktop resolution to 1920 x 1080 but as soon as I exit the PC it reverts to 1024 x 768. I'm convinced this issue is related to the LMI Mirror Driver but disabling it doesn't necessarily fix it. Has anyone experienced this issue and able to advise? To confirm these PCs are 4k outputs - when logged in I have a wide variety of resolutions available both through LogMeIn and Windows. It's just when exiting the PC through LogMeIn that the resolution changes. I am getting frustrated beyond belief so i am going to ask the community and the staff after this thread with the hopes of finally making this thing work. Firstly everywhere i look i see that this menu suddenly gets a brand new hamachi special one but i don't get anything after countless redownloads and search for a solution, i may just be blind but if that's the case i will gladly take a hit to my ego if it means i can play with my friends. Secondly, this menu that you can access withhdwwiz.cpl and that show this. well if you can zoom in hard enough you can see that there is an exclamation mark in yellow on the hamachi virtual ethernet adapter and there's two even ! , can't find what it means and after 3 hours of finding people that doesn't have this issue i give up. I also get this error message from hamachi itself but i think it's just a continuation of the bigger picture. Application updates failing to update LMI client
Question for anyone using the Updates add-on. When going to 'Updates' > 'Applications' there are tonnes of computers which have > 1 update available. One of which is LogMeIn (current version:4.1.14344, target version4.1.14496). I have tried updating multiple computers but when looking in history they are just failing. It doesn't help that the 'History' section under 'Updates' is absolutely useless and gives no explanation whatsoever why the update failed, or even WHICH updates failed. Is anyone else experiencing this please? Another thing which doesn't work in applications is the 'sort' buttons. Hello, I would like to know if there is a way to restrict users of our LogMeIn account from DELETING computers from it? We have a new hire who I have given limited access to LogMeIn and my biggest fear is his ability to just check off any computer on the account and then be able to click the "Delete" button. I did not see an option under user management to restrict this button from being accessible to him. I am an admin for our company. I am registered under the same group as all of our other admins and inherited the same permissions. The Move button on the Manage Users page is missing, and I am unable to see any other options to change group membership when accessing a user's account directly from the drop-down menu. I have tried different browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) and tried logging out/in but nothing is working.
