Participant Announcement on dial-in call

Is there a feautre to require participants to announce themselves when joining the call? Additionally, is there a way to turn on an alert for the facilitator to be aware that someone has joined the meeting? I did not find any features for this in the settings, but could have simply missed them.

Thanks!

Re: Participant Announcement on dial-in call

Hi @sadler ,

While we do not have an introduction feature with the GoTo built-in audio, there is a control function for Organizers to hear a bell when new participants arive.  The notification setting is found in the GoToMeeting preferences on your local desktop, and also while in session if you have the control panel up and running.

Re: Participant Announcement on dial-in call

Hello,

Thank you for the follow up! I'm not seeing a "preferences" section in the admin control. I will attempt to test this with a live meeting.  So far, I have not been successful in adding a "bell" feature.

Re: Participant Announcement on dial-in call

This is not an online settting, but locally set in the endpoint software.

Re: Participant Announcement on dial-in call

@AshC In the new beta version, this option is not showing. Where can I turn on these notifications in the new version?

Re: Participant Announcement on dial-in call

@lindseyhartz I'm afraid the new GoToMeeting interface does not currently offer that functionality.  I am unsure if it will be re-introduced at a later date, and will work to find some more answers in this regard.
