Billing & Accounting Info w/ Notes Time Report Generation...
Hello: We currently are using an external trouble ticket system and exploring moving over. However, we have been using Goto Resolve to Remotely Manage, Monitor, and provide support across 6 different tenants of clients that we support. Currently, as mentioned we are using the external system to document not only the fixes as we go but also our billable info which we use monthly to bill back to our clients. I have yet to identify how to easily do this inside of Goto Resolve. And I am convinced that I am just overlooking something that is really easy that I have just missed in all the tutorials or setups I have checked out. I just simply want a way on a monthly basis to generate a report per tenant that shows the following information in a nicely organized way to be used to inform the clients of the work preformed as well as allow our billing of the time spent remotely supporting them: Number of hours / minutes spent in total remotely connected to devices Which machines were remotely accessed and for how long and why? Updates preformed that Month All info either per tenant or per devices. (We do not need internal agent data) I may be approaching this from the wrong direction and hope to eventually integrate more into the Goto Environment and available tools; but I need to resolve this for now. I recently updated to LogMeIn Resolve Desktop Console to version 1.15.0.43,, and when I'm connected to a remote session, it has started logging me out if it's idle for a little bit. I multitask a lot, so it's driving me crazy, because when I go back to the Desktop Console, it's making me log into it again. Can I turn this off somehow? It's new behavior.Solved116Views0likes12CommentsBest practices for reinstall/repair of client?
Is there a preferred method for either reinstalling or repairing the resolve client? I see there is no way to do a repair of the installation via Windows Settings - Installed Apps, but I also just recently installed over an existing install on another machine and it duplicated it in the database, so I had to do cleanup for that with copying down inventory item data, removing that and the associated device, re-syncing, and then manually adding back the inventory data. Is there an easy way of doing this when the client decides to stop working? In this case, I believe the client may have been trying to update and it failed, as the service can no longer find the executable.81Views0likes2CommentsPaste as Keystrokes on login screen
It would be incredibly helpful to be able to copy/paste complex passwords at the user login screen(s). Currently we're unable to copy a password (from our password management program) and paste it into the password field because Window's doesn't allow that. In many remote support programs I've worked with, the option exists to paste your (host) clipboard to the remote (client) machine as keystrokes.142Views1like2Commentssend clipboard text
It should be possible to send the text I have on the clipboard to a specific field on the remote computer I am using. For example, when I switch users, I have to manually type it, which is very tedious, especially for long passwords. I should be able to send that text through an option to avoid typing it, something like "send clipboard," similar to how other remote applications allow it.324Views0likes2Comments
