Start meeting with webcams off

With the latest software update, meetings start with the participants' webcams on. The attendees have to turn the cams off.  There is an option (requirement) to start meetings with the attendees on mute, is there an option to start meetings with the webcams off?  This is a privacy, as well as a bandwidth issue.

Re: Start meeting with webcams off

Hi @rebecca3,

With the new interface, we preview the webcam when you join but it does not automatically start sharing it, you still have to click on the share webcam button. There is an option displayed on the preview for each attendee to disable it for future meetings. As an organizer, once you start your meeting you can open the options in your control panel and disable webcam sharing for attendees.

Re: Start meeting with webcams off

Hello

It would be much appreciated if the settings panel did not preview the webcam automatically. Please consider adding a button to 'preview webcam'. Sometimes I need to see the phone # and meeting ID without seeing what a terrible disaster I look like on any given day.

Re: Start meeting with webcams off

@ecarr26 Hi Liz,

Have you already checked your GoToMeeting preferences under the 'Meetings' tab for the options of "When a meeting begins, Skip camera previes when joining a meeting."
