Re: Connect on LAN issues

Hello IT_CLI!

Thank you for the feedback.

There are some requirements of the Connect on LAN feature.
Please read our manual on page 30-31:
https://secure.logmeinrescue.com/welcome/documents/pdfs/rescue_tech_console_userguide.pdf

Some of the windows updates sometimes restore back to default these settings.

Usually the remote registry service is stopped or disabled after a recently windows update. It should be started manually or automatically.

I hope it will help you!

Regards,

Sandor

Re: Connect on LAN issues

I have a batch file that calls the  PSSERVICE.EXE program (Microsoft toolkit) and starts the remote registry (or any service) - but I have to edit the batch file outside of Logmein Rescue the syntax is "psservice \\10.101.45.131 start RemoteRegistry " .  Need to change the ip or name of the PC you want to connect to.

Re: Connect on LAN issues

If you've got working Wi-Fi but your wired ethernet connection is not working, the first thing to do is turn off the Wi-Fi. ... If Wi-Fi is disabled and you're still not getting a network connection, make sure that ethernet is enabled in the same Network and Internet Settings section mcdvoice login
