I'm using the GTT API to create sessions and register attendees. This is also the only method available today to suppress the GTT registration email so that we can send one of our own. The problem is that I cannot figure out where to get the dial-in information to put into the email to the attendee. None of the API endpoints seem to return this info (reference:https://developer.goto.com/GoToTrainingV1). Through some testing I notice that both the dial in number and access code changes for each session. However, I cannot find a pattern to them. Hello, I use GotoTraining (the new Goto Experience) to deploy my training, and I record every session. After the end of the session, I wait for the email confirming that the session is ready, and I download the MP4 file. By chance, I found out that in the Documents folder, there are a lot of WEBM files, one for each session. I manually deleted them to recover the disk space. Why are they there? It the are temporary files, why are thy persisting on the hard drive? Is it normal that they are not purged automatically? Last week, during our five-day training, even while talking, people's mics would drop out. They wouldn't be able to turn them back on. They had to log out and log back in. This happened at different times to all 15 participants. No explanation. When I called it to get some help, they said they could only help if they could remote access people's computers. But no one has time for that. They are trying to attend a training they spent thousands of dollars to participate in. It's embarrassing to our company. In the new version of GoToTraining you can see how many people in the meeting are inattentive, but you can no longer see which of your attendees are the ones who are inattentive. For our meetings we need to have 100% participation and attentiveness so need to know who has something else open so we can reach out to them to correct the issue. In the old "classic" format a warning triangle icon would show next to the attendees name in the attendee list. 1. Is there a way to gain control of the attendee’s mouse and keyboard like before? In the help files we found an article on Remote Control, explaining how to give attendees control of the trainer's screen, but for most of our training we need it to be the other way around. Our trainers take control of the attendees computer to show them how to use the software. We’ve tried making the attendee the presenter but that doesn’t always work. In one case, they didn’t seem to have the option to give their trainer control. But just in general, walking the attendee through the process takes away from training time. Hi - we just noticed on Thursday (from an attendee letting us know) that the interface looks different (more like GoTo Meeting now) and that the Organizer size looks the same. Question: how do attendees undock the tabs so they can see a list of attendees and chat at the same time? Good Morning - so last year, I had to provide justification for Google Chrome installation on my computer and it had to do with the use of breakout rooms in GoToTraining. Just wanted to check to see if (1) that's still a thing and (2) if it is, is it limited to breakout room usage for that particular browser? Our official browser at work is Edge and I have to provide justification to request any other web browser to be installed. While doing a training on a dual monitor, we shared an excel spreadsheet on the left monitor, which it recorded. We stopped sharing it and just had cameras turned on the rest of the training, but the entire recording is just of the excel spreadsheet, even after we stopped sharing our screen. Has this happened to anyone before? Is there a setting or some other steps that need to be taken to make sure this doesn't happen again? We've never had this issue before and use this set up a lot. It's always been able to automatically record peoples' cameras without any additional steps on our part. Any insight or help would be great! The attendance report only captured the session time when she used the web browser. Is there any way to document the time she attended via phone? Our training team has been receiving customer attendee feed and personally experiencing a situation where "Add to Calendar" .ics files will sometimes not open and cannot be saved to their MS Outlook calendars. Our organizers are scheduling these directly from the GTT website (not using the MS Outlook plug-in) and using the latest Chrome, IE and Edge browsers. All are using the desktop version of MS Office 365. Additionally, this appear to happen randomly (some GTT events are not having this issues whereas others are). Anyone else experiencing this? Some of our trainees, when breakouts start, don't get moved into the breakouts. They try to refresh training, but they keep coming back into the main room, and never get put in breakouts. Other trainees, don't get put in the original breakout group they were assigned, it kicks them out, they have to refresh, and end up in a different group. So one of the groups ends up with 80% of the class, and the other breakout group only has a few people in it. All agents using exact same Linux Ubuntu Operating system, and are using the web version of GTT. One of the things we are unsure about is if poll questions are accessible with screen readers? When a poll question is shown to the group, does the screen reader know? Has anyone tried the new Blackmagic ATEM Mini with GTT? I've been using GTT for two years with logitech webcams, and I want more control over focus, zoom and picture. The ATEM mini plugs into the thunderbolt port, so I'm wondering how GTT will recognize it. The ATEM is designed for livestreaming and can handle up to 4 HDMI cameras along with PIP options, so this could be a big enhancement for my GTT sessions. Hello, We had a gototraining session that we started therecording, however, the recording is not available in the my recording reports. There's enough space for the cloud recordings, so it's not a storage issue. This is the second session when this happens. I know for sure that the recording was started, I was a participant in the session, from a browser. the orange recording icon was active on the bar. The trainer stopped the recording before ending the session. Hi! Downloading recording takes a long time as the speed of incoming data is really slow. A 300 Mb recording downloads in about 40 minutes which is unacceptable. I can get much faster download from other sites - so it must be logmein, which is now the "hanging" party. And having a 5 minute wait on the support line with having paid quite a bit does not make any customer too happy... I thought you get good service for your buck but was obviously wrong. Over the last month or so almost all (there's always 1 or 2 that work fine tho) attendees on my goto training sessions that join using the web app cannot share their webcams. The option is set to share webcams but there is no webcam indicated in the attendee list and there's no option available to give them webcam access. The only workaround is to have them switch to the desktop version. I still have to give them permission even though the session default is set to allow it... Hi Can anyone advice the "recomended" / optimal Frame rate FPS, Resolution and bit rate to use (I'm using manycam virtual webcam software to combine material with green screen and personal appearance by web cam - "as in class room" ) i.e. if the stream is typically distributed by GoTo hardware/servers/cloud to recipants at 25 fps 720p with target bit rate approx 1500 or lower, then higher settings at streaming/upload is useless, especially if streaming up with higher resolution and frame rate than the GoTo software at trainers PC is allowing anyway, or at GoTo servers/services performing the distributing, then rendering/converting to lower distribution rate or resolution by hubs of hardware/software will have a natural potential risk of loss and/or blurring etc. I have noticed raising to 1080p 30 Fps and 3000 target bit rate does not improve on recipent end, on the contrary, some details "font's" sent seems a bit more distorted compared to the upload view. (at 720p sending it appear "just" blurred at recipent end). As well noticed, refresing of the browser in the recipents end of line can change the recipent recieved resolution, "apparently" negotiating speed with the GoTo server/service. Best case optained is slightly blurred at recipent compared to the "clear" 720p at sending end, i.e not ever getting a clear720p (1280x720) at recipents for webcam recipt. Well aware that recipents internet connection, if slow, inconsistent or large latency etc. will have impact, and the Server/service potentially will lower the "quality", however thistested at GoTo training seesions with wired stable upload (+100 Mb/sec internet avilable for upload) and with one recipent, just to make sure it's not due to GoTo server/services being loaded multiple recipents ( the recipent having a stable +300 Mb/sec internet available for download ). I hope you can help. I've tested this with my PC and Mac. I would like to see the Presenter View when sharing my PPT. On the pc, the offering is "show my application"; on the mac, it's "just an app". The dropdown offers a list of apps/windows open on my computer. If i have opened the PPT, the editing format is available. If i have opened the slide show mode, it is also an option. It will even have my "presenter view" as an option. However, it won't allow me to present the slide show to the audience while still accessing my presenter view for myself. How can I do this with one screen. I work with a team of 20 trainers operating from as many locations. I've just been trying to help someone who is delivering GoToTraining sessions for up to 200 people. They are using breakout rooms to facilitate 'smaller' discussions and they need to move people around the breakout rooms, but they are so big that they are unable to see all the attendees in each room. They also find that they lose people - on one session, only 140 people made it into the breakouts. Is there a maximum limit on the numbers? I have a training that spans several sessions. In GTT, I created a single training, added 4 sessions, and registered the participants so that it signed them up for all 4 sessions. Project Concept: There will be Word-press website in which we will offer several e-teaching services e.g. teaching quran, web development or any thing. Each category would have its own instructor virtually available. Now we will register instructors for each category in our website and we will also have the facility that students can also register in our website by paying a fixed amount of money to us. Each course will have its own unique meeting/training link grabbed from 3rd party service provider. Teaching criteria / What we need: Our client wishes to have a platform where the instructors can teach their registered students online with facility of audio conferencing, notes, exercises, quizzes, recorded lectures, desktop collaboration, white-board and announcements. This platform would be independent of our Word-press website and shall be used as a 3rd-party service. Business rules: Only registered students would be able to join their class and they cannot join any other category class unless they have subscribed to it by paying extra money to us. Anonymous persons cannot join any class/training in the platform we would be using as a 3rd-party (means your product either Gotomeeting or Gototraining).
