Error message: Failed to download LogMeIn AV package
Trying to install the LogMeIn Antivirus program on about 100 sites and at ramdom some units won't download the Installation Package. We get the message: "Unable to retrieve LogMeIn Antivirus. Visit help.logmein.com for assistance. Error message: Failed to download LogMeIn AV package" What can be done to correct this? Search for computers by IP or Mac address
Within the LMI portal when using the search fields is it possible to search for a computer based off of its IP address or Mac address? Hello, I have tried to find the answer on how to hide the toolbar during log me in session. It has to be moved constantly as it often obscures the view of my small screen when working on a laptop. As this is not very productive and the 'pin' only temporarily hides the bar before it appears again, I wondered if there is a solution to this? I cannot find within the settings or find the answer when others have asked the same question. Your help would be appreciated. I am stuck in a loop installing LogMeIn Antivirus on one endpoint. The system is running Windows 10 1903 (all updates applied) and has a new install of the LMI agent, and I am trying to install LMI AV. There is no other AV on the system besides Windows Defender. When I try to push the install, I get this screen after a few minutes. The system reboots and I end up with the red triangle in the web control panel. Hi Is there a way in the LogMeIn Central Control panel online to setup/adjust the IP Address lockout duration for connecting clients when they mess up? In my case users keep forgetting to change the Domain they log into and therefore end up getting locked out. Howdy, For years, our bookkeeper has logged into our headless remote Mac Mini (running Sierra) here at the house to take care of QuickBooks reconciling and so forth. She has a paid account and one seat for us. A few months ago, the hard drive in that died, a new one was installed, and we did a fresh install of Catalina, the latest OS. After a few display resolution bugs I sorted out, we got it back to normal, installed QB 2019, and have accessed it easily enough using Apple Remote Desktop on the same network. A few days ago, our bookkeeper sent us the LogMeIn invite and I clicked the link and installed the LogMeIn control panel (64bit version 4.1xxxxxxx) and thought we were good to go. The problem is that while she can log in to the computer, the actual desktop is blacked out. She can see my mouse arrow skate across the blackness, the program I'm in at the top of the screen, but none of the application windows that hover over our desktop. I tried different monitor resolution settings, I turned off the firewall (never a problem before), and uninstalled and reinstalled the LogMeIn client and control panel to no effect. I’ve never seen a remote access get halfway like this before, so I’m stumped. If anyone has any ideas of things I haven’t tried, I’d be grateful. We just never had this issue before with the older OS, but otherwise, it’s the same 2 computers trying to connect. When I request the hardware or system inventory report token the response is a 200 OK but all I get back is null value for the token and expiration date. Some staff I support using LogMeIn noticed, after they've connect to their LogMeIn host computer in the office, as they start typing in the log in screen OR on a word doc/etc., their host computer ends up showing random text/symbols. See image below. I have some guesses as to what's causing the error but is there something in the LogMeIn settings that's configurable to fix this? Several of our managed clients have a "MULTIPLE" warning in the Central Admin Portal. When I click on details, I see the following: So the Admin portal is detecting two different verssions of LogMeIn AV. I have been running into this issues randomly across all of my 90 plus computers on my account (LogMeIn Central) . I am not sure if it is a Windows update that caused has this issue, but it seems to have happened after update KB4569745 or KB4566782. Because this issue is random I have not spent the time to roll back this update on all 90 plus client machines. Computers will randomly go offline and I have to download and install Teamviewer to remote in to see the issue. The Logmein service is stuck on starting (even after setting the service for all 3 attempts to restart and interact with the desktop). To fix the issue (seems to be temporary fix) I stop the services, and reinstall the product. If this does not work and the installation fails, I have to restart the computer, stop the services and reinstall again. Eventually this process works, but this is extremely frustrating because it is time consuming and I have close to 100 computer clients on my account. I have called your tech support (3 calls totally 45 minutes each) and they have me do all this random runaround stuff that does nothing to resolve the issue before telling me that it is my computer (firewall off antivirus off) I will give this issue another month to resolve or I will be switching services because I cannot spend a hour a day fixing offline clients in case a real issue happens. We are having an issue with our IP camera system. The problem is that the camera software often shows that the cameras go offline. After some extensive testing, we found the only way to resolve this issue is to disable both the Anti-phising and Traffic Scan under Content Control in the LogMeIn Anti-Virus Policy. We have to disable both the Anti-phishing and Traffic Scan. We tried disabling one and not the other; Disable Anti-phishng but not Traffic Scan and vice versa. This did not work. We have to disabled both the Anti-phishing and Traffic Scans Prior to get the camera system to work. We tried adding an exception for each camera's IP. This did not work. The camera software accesses a camera's video stream via RTSP. So adding a cameras IP via http://cameraIP (port 80) does not work. We are unable to add rtsp://cameraIP as we receive an "invalid URL" message. Is there a way to add an exception for an RTSP stream? Anything else we can try to get the camera system to work with the Anti-phishing and Traffic Scans? However, today, there was a message that LogmeIn AV require a reboot and only option was to click Ok and the computer rebooted less than 30 seconds. We have an issue with LMI that seems to be something that is easily fixed but deliberately ignored by LMI developers. 1. You do have a public API but the documentation is not anything close to what is needed for system administrators to be able to use because it is not complete. 2. I'm floored completely that when we ask support about adding support for .csv file import to bulk add/delete computers that they have told us (multiple times) that we need to use the unusable API because LMI developers are not going to create that functionality. I can't believe that an enterprise class application like LMI can't get something as basic as bulk operations added so we don't have to tick 100 check boxes one at a time to delete retired, refurbished or reissued machines. I would love to hear back from LMI as to what the business case is for not adding the ability to do what most other software that manages thousands or tens of thousands of machines. It's supposed to make our lives easier and that one feature is something I know has been asked before. One of my teammates told me that he asked and was told it wont' happen. You have to check boxes one by one. In the words of Joe Biden, "C'mon man!" Is it possible to have Logmein Central and Logmein Rescue on the same PC? Our IT department uses Logmein Rescue and I use Logmein Central. Hi I carry out remote programming on customers cars, normally though flexihub (USB) which will provide a token (something similar to teamviewer) so I can connect to the pc without needing windows network credentials as obviously I do not want to be asking the customer for their password ect to connect to their pc. Been using logmein from home on my macbook pro for months now. About 2 weeks ago, I am unable to login remotely to my work computers. I can connect to other computers at my office but it's black and then the entire program just freezes and I would have to force quit. I have repeatedly (with and without logmein tech support) uninstalled and reinstalled logme in and still no luck. I am able to use a PC with no problems to login to all my work computers. We have a machine that is unable to receive the LMI package directly from the site. I have taken a copy of the installer from another machine and sent it over to the first. It has installed this way but now there is a weird status as shown here: Is there some way to make LMI recognise this install correctly? I can't apply a policy to the machine in this state and the red shield is annoying. Ideally, there would be some offline installer we could use that works instead of having to catch a copy in the Windows temp folder on another machine. Any ideas? Is there a way to disable Clipboard Sync? For security, I would like to disable the ability for users to be able to copy and paste from the host computer to the end client, and vice versa. I believe the feature can be turned on and off from the LogMeIn Menu (see image below), but that requires the end user checking off the box. Also you can limit the size of data to 1 KB (see image below) but I would like to zero this out too, if possible.
