Hi - two of our teammates have experienced this...during a webinar, we run a separate chat in another application (Microsoft Teams) that we copy and paste GoTo messages into so that the team can decide who answers the question or if we need to table it. We keep our team chat separate so that the GoTo chat isn't full of our back-and-forth messages. Once they copy and paste from GoTo into Teams, new messages do not show up in the GoTo chat. They discovered a workaround...when they click "Pop Out" to separate the windows in the interface, wait a few seconds, and then merge the windows back, that takes care of the issue. However, they shouldn't have to do that to fix the problem.VRLDO8 months agoContributor791Views0likes3CommentsWhy are the chat messages no longer color-coded?

I amhugely disappointed that you have stopped the classic gototraining app and forced us to install the new gotoapp - WHICH DOES NOT EVEN SUPPORT GOTOTRAINING any more. Yet another reduction in the classic functionality with your insistent move to gotobranding, = further reduction in services and functionalities for trainers. The classic functions which are missing in the new gotoapp, if appauling...just not ready and with loss of huge amounts of functionality and now to cap it all, they just revoke an app which was invaluable for trainers when they are out in the field, to check their upcoming schedules and no of attendees...for whatwas a great app for the trainer. See confirmation from support to confirm Per our conversation, you are no longer able to use the old GoToTraining mobile app since it has now been fully migrated to our new GoTo interface which is not allowing you to see your GoToTraining account nor who has registered to your sessions. I've consuted with our Level 2 Department and unfortunatelyunfortunately this is the expected behavior with the new GoTo. It looks like the new GoTo interface will only be used by the attendees who will be able to join the trainings as well, however the organizer will need to use the desktop app or web version in order to schedule or manage their trainings. I understand you used to check your upcoming trainings with your mobile app but unfortunately that is no longer a feature. Awhile back I made this post about the GoTo software kicking me out after about 7 hours: 7 Hour Timeout for Session Host. I was directed to open a case and it was confirmed there is no meeting timeout. Swell. I do system and network performance analysis for a living, so I looked into the issue professionally. There is a confirmed memory leak in the GoTo.exe renderer process that consumes an astonishing 400-400MB per hour on the session host system without free'ing it back . After about 7 hours when it reaches a ridiculous 3.8GB of memory utilization the process crashes due to lack of memory, thus kicking me out of the meeting with no error message at all or prompt to select a new organizer/presenter. 3.8 GB is suspiciously close to the 4GB 32-bit memory limit, which would appear to indicate there are 32-bit elements inside this process even though it is running in 64-bit mode on a 64-bit operating system; doing so does not magically make everything in that binary 64-bit capable. I have confirmed this memory leak on a Windows 7 64-bit Lenovo W520 and a Windows 10 64-bit Lenovo P52. The evidence screenshots show the renderer process memory utilization at startup (250MB which is reasonable), after 3 hours (1.8GB which is not reasonable), and after 7 hours (an insane 3.7GB right before it dies, with extra info shown): Both systems are Lenovo so it is possible that some Lenovo-specific driver may be causing this. I have saved a minidump and fulldump of the memory-leaking process when it was at about 3.6GB allocated that I can provide. No, turning on efficiency mode does not solve the problem. Yes, I am running the latest version of the GoTo software 0.112.14. So now that we have established the problem, here is what I'd like to see happen: 1) Refer this to someone who actually understands what has been written here. I am not interested in opening a case and going through 8 levels of escalation and being told to upgrade my RAM (nope wrong, 19GB RAM free in the OS at time of crash, this is a process 32-bit limit thing) 2) Refer this to someone that can receive and actually understand the dumps I've taken. It shouldn't be too difficult to see where all the memory is being leaked with the full dump I have. Thanks!ShadowPeak2 years agoActive Contributor1.6KViews0likes7CommentsUnable to share camera in GotoTraining

Our organization conducts 4-day training sessions about three times a month for students who are employed by or contractors for the US Department of Defense. The course consists of 13 content modules. At the end of each module, we launch an informal quiz using the GoTo Training test function. On the last day of each course, we conduct a formal, final exam that also uses the same test function in the GoTo Training platform. The final exam determines if students will earn a course certificate. In three of the last four classes (in February and March 2023), when we launched the final exam, some students reported they were not able to see the final test, even though they were able to see and respond to each of the module quizzes that came before it. What these attendees saw instead of the final exam was the previous informal quiz. To remedy the situation, we have had to scramble to set up a separate training session (a copy of the original) and launch the exam for those affected students. Without exception, each of the affected students were able to see and complete the alternate exam without any issues. We thought the cause might be a browser caching issue. However, we asked all students to clear their browser history before the test was launched. In the most recent class last week (3/10/23) we even had all students log out of the GoTo Training session and then log back in again before we launched the exam. Still, about half a dozen of the 25 attendees reported seeing a previous quiz from earlier that day instead of the final exam. Our workaround was to copy the GoTo Training session to create a new, alternate session, have all students log out of the original session and log into the new session. We launched the exam, and all attendees were able to see and complete it with no issues. Our attendees join our training sessions from all over the world using a variety of browsers or the desktop app. We can't figure out why this is happening or how to prevent it from occurring.
