"Help widget" position is hiding "Edit" link in LogMeIn Central
I recently notice that the "Help widget" is hiding "Edit" linkin LogMeIn Central. For most part, it doesn't really interfere with my operation to do editing since I can just scroll up and down to unhide the "Edit" link but that's not the case for the most bottom client on the list. I've tried resizing my browser in hopes that I can somehow unhide it but t doesn't. Currently, the only way I can unhide it is by clicking the "Help widget" then click "Minimize widget": Afterwards the "Help widget" would become smaller and the most bottom "Edit" link will be shown: Even so, it still doesn't guarantee that I'll be able to click the "Edit" link without pointing my cursor on the capital E. I notice that there's some space at the bottom of the page which probably can be occupied by the "Help widget" and won't interfere with the most bottom "Edit" link provided that the widget get a slight resize. Several of our clients are displaying the message in the LogMeIn Central portal "Protected by an older version of antivirus software. Automatic update pending." When I compare AV versions on PCs, all PCs are running LogMeIn AV version 6.6.21.304. Hello, We're having some issues when trying to update our DAT file through LogmeIn Central, we can run the process without issues, but the DAT version is not reflected on the dashboard. If we connect remotly to any computer, the DAT file seems to be updated, but still outdated in the dashboard. Versions: LogmeIn Central. McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.8 (patch 7 to 15). Any ideas? The client gave the idea of the Central and the can access could work without the internet, his case is very specific because in some branches of his the internet is weak and almost failed, and without internet he cannot work properly. In case anyone uses chrome to access remote computers (as opposed to the LogMeIn client) you may have noticed that Chrome constantly prompts to open the LogMeIn client app and does not give an option to remember. The option to remember was removed from Chrome for the reasons described here:https://textslashplain.com/2019/08/29/web-to-app-communication-app-protocols/ Luckily (as mentioned in the link) you can enable the option to remember in the Enterprise version of Chrome. LMI released a new client on 12-10-2020 that does not work with any Mac with OS 10.12 or older. LMI support has no resolution for this. You cannot download an older client as well. This is just crazy. In iOS, in the mobile app, the 2FA screen (where it says to put in the code they just emailed you), goes away upon multitasking to retrieve the code, forcing you to close the app and log back in, at which time they email you another code, ad infinitum. If I had been in the field this would have been a real problem for me. While we're talking about the behavior of the mobile app, the disconnection of sessions during iOS multitasking is also terrible. I seriously don't get it. Is it just we here in Sweden that suffers from extreme logmein issues? It's so slow and laggy when connected to a client (LogMeIn client from macOS to macOS) that the only use for it is to remote in and start teamviewer. It's been like this for years. When we started using and paying for it 5+ years ago it was blazing fast but today it's more or less useless. I have hada bunch of support cases logged for it but none have been helpful and most have just been frustrating and painful. I am working from home and have the LogMeIn Mac client installed on my MacBook Pro. Up until this Monday (December 7th, 2020) I was able to change the color settings to HD color resolution and interact and run my remote computer with no issue. Now when I change to color option to HD, the screen goes black and all I see is the mouse. I have tried this with the LogMeIn client on multiple Mac computers and my iPhone/iPad with the same result. I have resorted to changing the color quality to standard quality but when I do that certain applications like Adobe Photoshop and Premiere don't render properly and it is impossible to work. On a Samsung s9 and a s10 the logmein app works fine up to the point of connecting. Select the computer. Then type in access password coded. Then black screen and locks up the app. Doesn't matter what computer you try to connect to. Works fine on a iPhone to the same computers. Question: It seems like LogMeIn somehow disables ClearType text in the Windows host. Is there a way to get it to stop doing that? Background and Testing: I have always noticed that text viewed through a LogMeIn remote session have seemed less clear/smooth than directly viewing the host's physical monitor. Historically I chalked this up to compression. Now that we have all of our users working remotely, I have been getting complaints. Through a bunch of testing, I found that most things are pretty clear when the network connection is good, the color quality is set to HD, and the host and remote computer resolutions are matched. An array of single-pixel-wide lines come through clearly without noticeable distortion. But portions of characters that may be less than a full pixel in size comes through as blocky and/or lacking clarity. I tried all variations of settings that are available (network, color, resolution), and nothing improved this issue. I tried with the display accelerator enabled and disabled, but it didn't change. I could not find that LogMeIn offers an option like "font smoothing" or similar like some other products do. I somewhat randomly checked the Windows ClearType Text settings on the host computer, and found that ClearType was disabled. But it is enabled by default, and I know for sure that I did not disable it. So it seems that LogMeIn automatically disabled it. Greetings - I'm working on implementing a simple integration that uses the Reporting API Remote Access Report. I'm can see some older data in the response to the API calls, but when I ask someone to remotely access the host, I don't see those access attempts in the API response. I can see change to the state of the Host in the Hosts API call (e.g. see it go from offline to online and back to offline). I thought it might be a timing issue (like the access not being available via the API call for a few minutes), but even after 30 minutes I don't see anything in the access report. I have the date range in the POST set to include the correct datetime range (using Nov 1 through Dec 31 of 2020). A few days ago, the Authenticator failed to authenticate. I used the backup text option for a 24 hours and tried again. It still did not work. LogMeIn Technical support advised me to remove the application from my phone and re-install. I did that. Now I cannot pair my phone. The error says Failed to Pair. Network error. I tried two other phones. Same issue. I called LogMeIn Technical support. They said they see no issues. Their advice was to disable two-factor authentication. This is horrible advice.
