Can you pass a user's first name and last name as url parameters in a webinar url? I've gotten it to work for the email field

I'd like to prefill the registration form with the user's info so they only need to click register. I've gotten it to work for the email field (?email=) , but can't figure out first name or last name: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/rt/5055649401661133572?email=kyle@frame.io

Hi Kyle,

In order to prevent abuse of our registration system, we do have some limitations in place. There are a number of existing integrations you can use that will import customer registration information from other systems:  https://support.logmeininc.com/gotowebinar/help/add-gotowebinar-registrants-to-mailchimp-g2w160007

Hi Glenn - Along those lines, is it possible embed a url parameter so that it will default to a specific date/time if there are multiple date/times for that webinar.

For example, let's say we have the date/times for webinar A as 10/1/2017 and 11/1/2017. By default, the reg page will show the next upcoming webinar (10/1/2017 8am PDT). Is it possible to pass something like  https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/rt/ABC?date=11-1-2017, something like that, so that when that link is clicked, the dropdown will default to 11/1/2017.

Hi Myron,
I apologize, as a rule we don't generally support integration inquiries here, because we have a developer support form available here:  https://goto-developer.logmeininc.com/api-support-request-template

Hi Ash -

Thanks. Just to confirm, would url passing be considered an integration inquiry? I was just wondering if it would be possible to add other URL parameters other than email that was in the original thread. Was not looking to do any custom integration using the API or anything developer related. Thanks so much!

Hi Myron,
In general, we don't condone customizing registration links outside of their intended use.  If I do find any internal documentation referencing your request, I will certainly update this post.

What about a custom field that someone has built such as a "who referred you" field?  Is there a way to customize the url link so that it automatically fills in my information?

@mschellinger  What you can utilize is GoToWebinar's Source Tracking functionality in order to see where each registrant is stemming from:  https://support.logmeininc.com/gotowebinar/help/source-tracking-beta-g2w090114

A vendor is setting this webinar up so I have no control over the back end set up.  I can either ask people to put my code in and hope and pray they do it or make the URL prefill.  If there is a way to prefill a custom question please let me know otherwise my only option is hope and pray.
